Episode Summary
Murong Ce searches for the missing Murong Jing. Xie Lingyun is tormented by nightmares. Mo Xiao is rescued but suspected of wrongdoing. Yuan Beichen resigns, and Mo Xiao, Xie Lingyun, and Murong Ce venture into the Valley of Desire. Feng Lixue becomes Shao Hao Star Master under Chong Guang, causing conflict.

The search is ON! After Murong Jing goes missing, Murong Ce is pulling out all the stops. He's got his people scouring every inch of the Ice Lake of Ten Thousand Islands, determined to find her, no matter what. Meanwhile, Xie Lingyun is awake, but not exactly doing great. Nightmares are plaguing him, and he's convinced Murong Jing's disappearance is all his fault, that she sacrificed herself to save him. Talk about guilt!
Murong Ce's search party stumbles upon Mo Xiao, unconscious in the water. They haul him back for treatment. Xuan Zhen, the healer, discovers strange markings on Mo Xiao's chest from the Phoenix Feather Chain, and his internal energy pathways are all messed up. Yuan Beichen worries that Feng Yue's prophecy is coming true: Feng Lixue is Mo Xiao's doom. Dun dun dun!
Things escalate when people from Penglai show up demanding Yuan Beichen hand over Hao Tian. Yuan Beichen learns they've been snooping around the Ice Lake of Ten Thousand Islands. Since Mo Xiao is out cold, Yuan Beichen promises to get answers from him as soon as he wakes up. But the Penglai leader insists that representatives from all four sects need to be present for the interrogation.
When Mo Xiao finally comes to, Murong Ce is all up in his face, sword drawn. He accuses Mo Xiao of being responsible for their comrades' deaths because he refused to kill Feng Lixue. Xie Lingyun intervenes before things get too stabby, and Mo Xiao promises to set things right.
Mo Xiao tells Xie Lingyun that before he blacked out, he saw a mysterious figure kidnapping Feng Lixue. Finding this person is the key to finding Murong Jing. He doesn't know where to start, but he's sure this mysterious person will resurface soon.
Back at headquarters, the Shushan leaders are breathing down Yuan Beichen's neck, demanding punishment. Murong Changfeng is adding fuel to the fire, and even Yu Yao, a Shushan disciple, is disrespecting Yuan Beichen. Fed up, Yuan Beichen resigns as leader. But Mo Xiao steps in and says he should be the one punished. Yuan Beichen reveals that he secretly told Mo Xiao not to kill Feng Lixue, because he believes her survival means something bigger is going on. He wants to draw out whoever's behind her. Xie Lingyun volunteers to join Mo Xiao on a mission to investigate and redeem themselves. Xie Tianjun, showing a rare moment of fatherly affection, tells Xie Lingyun to be careful. Murong Ce also joins Mo Xiao and Xie Lingyun. They find a whirlpool and suspect that it is the key, so they enter the whirlpool and travel to Valley of Desire.
Mo Xiao and company arrive in the Valley of Desire, where everyone's dancing and flower petals are falling from the sky. Meanwhile, Wu Chen has a nightmare where she kills Mo Xiao. She wakes up in tears, haunted by her own dark side.
Chong Guang appears and tells Wu Chen that she is Feng Lixue now. Chong Guang promises to make Feng Lixue powerful and returns Poyun to her.
Chong Guang introduces Feng Lixue to Wu Shuang, Jixing Luo, and others, declaring her the new Shao Hao Star Master. He claims she's been his disciple for ten years and helped him retrieve the spirit stone. Jixing Luo objects to an outsider being made Star Master, and Ming Huang warns that Feng Lixue will bring trouble to Shushan. Feng Lixue retorts that Ming Huang is too timid to be a Star Master. Chong Guang loves her attitude, saying he'd take on the whole world if he had more people like her.
Jixing Luo confronts Zi Ying, who betrayed him. Zi Ying, now working for Chong Guang, warns Jixing Luo to think twice before attacking her.
Feng Lixue tells Chong Guang she only cares about following his orders. Chong Guang is pleased and says the Valley of Desire is the perfect place for her. He knows Mo Xiao and the others have entered the valley and suspects they'll find them soon.
Feng Lixue privately asks Poyun if there are any other survivors. Poyun knows Feng Lixue is worried about Mo Xiao and that she's been miserable since getting her revenge. Feng Lixue denies caring about Mo Xiao, but deep down, she hopes he's still alive.
