Episode Summary
Chong Guang's efforts to purify Feng Lixue leave him weakened. Zi Ying's jealousy leads her to attack Feng Lixue, but Mo Xiao rescues her. Xie Lingyun covers for Mo Xiao. Chong Guang retrieves Feng Lixue, leading to conflict. Yuan Beichen is poisoned, and Mo Xiao seeks an antidote. Feng Lixue investigates her father's death while helping Xuyuan Yunchao.

So, Chong Guang, ever the drama king, heads to his secret chamber for some serious meditation. He tells Zi Ying to get Chang Ming to guard him and, oh yeah, also look after Feng Lixue. Zi Ying is thrilled about that last part, obviously (spoiler: she's not).
Turns out, Chong Guang's little purification ritual on Feng Lixue messed him up pretty bad. Chang Ming, always practical, suggests he just yank out the Bingqing Fu (Ice Cleansing Butterfly, I guess?). But Chong Guang is all "nah, I just want Feng Lixue to be with me forever," convinced she'll eventually understand his twisted affection.
Meanwhile, Xie Lingyun and Murong Jing pull a Houdini and escape Tianmo Abyss via underwater swimming! They're rescued by Murong Ce, who's been searching for them. Back at HQ, Zi Ying, simmering with jealousy over Chong Guang's obsession with Feng Lixue, tries to off the unconscious girl! Mo Xiao, bless his heart, stops her and snatches Feng Lixue, making a run for it. They're chased by the Demon Lord's goons, but luckily, Xuyuan Yunchao shows up to guide them to safety.
Murong Jing gets patched up and learns that Yuan Beichen was poisoned, so Murong Changfeng escorted him back to Shushan. Xie Lingyun covers for the missing Mo Xiao, claiming he's just scouting Mount Suyu. Murong Ce isn't buying it, but he plays along.
Chong Guang emerges from his meditation and throws a fit when he realizes Feng Lixue is gone. Nobody, and I mean nobody, steals his people! He intercepts Mo Xiao and Xuyuan Yunchao, knocking out the latter and engaging in a brutal fight with Mo Xiao. Both are fighting tooth and nail for Feng Lixue, but Mo Xiao is just not in good shape and loses ground. Feng Lixue, trying to protect Mo Xiao, gets hit by Chong Guang and passes out. Chong Guang, clutching his chest in pain from the dark magic backfiring, drags Feng Lixue back to his place. Chang Ming is back on the "remove the Bingqing Fu" train, but Chong Guang snaps at him, reminding him that Feng Lixue is just a pawn and none of Chang Ming's business.
Chong Guang orders Chang Ming to deliver medicinal wine to Feng Lixue, with strict instructions to not let her out of his sight. Chang Ming palms off the task to Zi Ying, who, naturally, gives Feng Lixue a piece of her mind when she delivers the drink. Poyun, Feng Lixue's loyal protector, puts a knife to Zi Ying's throat, warning her to stay away from Feng Lixue unless invited.
Xuyuan Yunchao wakes up and sends Mo Xiao back in a carriage before heading back to face the music. Zimu, Zifeng, and Xie Lingyun are waiting for Mo Xiao, worried sick. When the carriage finally arrives, Murong Ce chews out Xie Lingyun for covering for Mo Xiao. Xie Lingyun defends Mo Xiao's right to have feelings and throws shade at Murong Ce for being emotionally stunted. She also warns him not to report everything back to Shushan. Ouch.
Lu Shixiong, while gathering herbs for Yuan Beichen, overhears some Shushan disciples praising Mo Xiao as a hero. He's not happy about it. Then, he notices his fingernails turning black – he's been infected by demonic energy!
Xuyuan Yunchao gets a dressing down from Wu Shuang for helping Feng Lixue escape. But because of Chong Guang, Wu Shuang can't do anything drastic.
Xuan Zhen is treating Yuan Beichen, who suddenly takes a turn for the worse. Xuan Zhen identifies the poison as Wugenhua (Wugenhua), and Murong Changfeng and Xie Tianjun suspect a mole in Shushan.
Mo Xiao remains unconscious, worrying Zisu and the others. He suddenly emits a dark energy, which freaks Zisu out. Mo Xiao dreams of Feng Lixue getting hurt saving him and wakes up. Hualang arrives with news: Yuan Beichen has been poisoned by Wugenhua! The Fengyu Sect also informs Murong Ce about Yuan Beichen's poisoning. Murong Ce leaves with some men, while Murong Jing and Zisu stay behind to wait for Mo Xiao. Xie Lingyun knows Mo Xiao has already left to find an antidote.
Wu Shuang, Ming Huang, and Ji Xingluo lure Feng Lixue out, planning to kill her and dump her in the Tianmo Abyss. A mysterious figure in black robes appears and whisks Feng Lixue away. Wu Shuang suspects it was Chong Guang's people and decides to wait for him to settle the score.
Feng Lixue wakes up in her room with Poyun watching over her. She asks Poyun if he knows about an old demon servant on Mount Suyu, but he hasn't heard of one.
After Poyun leaves, Mo Xiao, disguised as one of the Demon Lord's men, appears! He begs Feng Lixue to leave with him, but she refuses, determined to find out who killed her father. Mo Xiao reveals he's also there to find an antidote to the Wugenhua poison. Just then, Tianxin, Xuyuan Yunchao's maid, arrives, and Feng Lixue hides Mo Xiao. Tianxin asks Feng Lixue to help Xuyuan Yunchao, who's being punished in a freezing place. She gives Feng Lixue a cold-resistant item, hoping she can deliver it to him. Feng Lixue agrees.
Poyun advises Feng Lixue to stay out of trouble, but she's grateful for Xuyuan Yunchao's help and insists on going. She also tells Poyun to check on Mo Xiao.
