Zhao Liying as Jia Xiaoduo
Jia Xiaoduo is initially introduced as a ride-hailing passenger. She, along with Xu Tian, unexpectedly enters a virtual space, which marks the beginning of their adventurous journey across multiple worlds.
However, Jia Xiaoduo's reality is far more complex. She is, in fact, one of Xu Tian's alternate personalities, possessing a kind and gentle nature. She originated as a "repair program" within Xu Tian's subconscious. Upon awakening, she attempts to drive out the other personalities but finds herself struggling with self-doubt. As she navigates the virtual space, Jia Xiaoduo gradually comes to understand her true identity. She then endeavors to persuade the other personalities to coexist, playing a crucial role in Xu Tian's path to healing.
Yin Fang as Xu Tian
Xu Tian is a man of few words, generally reserved. However, when it comes to Jia Xiaoduo, he displays an unwavering firmness. He isn't afraid to openly express his feelings for her to Wang Yangming, and he also directly conveys his affections to Jia Xiaoduo without any reservation.
In reality, Xu Tian is a patient diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder and also works as a part-time driver who feels lost and is searching for himself. He harbors seven distinct personalities within him. As the primary personality, he embarks on an adventure into a "virtual space" alongside Jia Xiaoduo, who is an alter personality. Throughout this journey, he continuously seeks self-redemption and ultimately achieves self-healing.
Zhang Yishan as Wang Yangming
Wang Yangming, portrayed by Zhang Yishan, is a key figure who becomes involved in virtual space incidents alongside the part-time driver, Xu Tian. Through their shared experiences within this digital realm, both characters gradually work through their personal struggles and find a sense of resolution.
Significantly, Wang Yangming is revealed to be one of Xu Tian's alternate personalities. His name carries a philosophical weight, representing the logical and rational aspect of Xu Tian's psyche. Within the complex landscape of Xu Tian's mind, Wang Yangming employs his sharp intellect and logical prowess to vie for dominance against other personalities, engaging in a constant battle for control.
Zhou Yiwai as Shi Yiben
In the TV series What a Wonderful World, Zhou Yiwai portrays Shi Yiben. Shi Yiben is the doctor persona of Xu Tian and is responsible for Xu Tian's treatment. He once imprisoned some of Xu Tian's other personalities and attempts to expel these other personalities by guiding Xu Tian into a virtual space. Shi Yiben is a character with a commanding presence and an aura of mystery.
Dong Zijian as Yu Dan
Yu Dan is the alter ego of Xu Tian. He bears the solitary grief of his mother's passing, continuously writing letters to her that go unanswered. This experience has shaped him into a somewhat paranoid individual, possessed by the tragic belief that he cannot venture outside, or others will shoot him. He is a personality deeply marked by tragedy.
Sun Qian as Liu Tiao'er
In the TV series "What a Wonderful World" (Zai Ren Jian), Sun Qian portrays Liu Tiao'er, one of Xu Tian's six alternate personalities. Liu Tiao'er is depicted as a fragile and sensitive woman, who is also exceptionally guarded and self-disciplined. Suffering from agoraphobia, she lives as a homebody, confined to her small room where she meticulously and obsessively tracks her food intake and weight. It is only with Xu Tian's encouragement that Liu Tiao'er attempts to step outside her door.
