Episode Summary
Tang Xuan uncovers Qin Yu's fake alibi and the motive for his revenge: Han Gang had assaulted his wife. As Qin Yu plans his family's escape, Han Lie kidnaps his son, Yiwei. This forces a final confrontation where Qin Yu and Han Lie kill each other. In his last moments, Qin Yu sacrifices himself to save a child from a bomb explosion. At his funeral, Yiwei finds closure and begins a new, clean life.

The Alibi Starts to Unravel
So, we kick things off with Tang Xuan at the coffee shop. She finally puts it all together. Qin Yu faked his alibi. He used a clever trick involving people's habit memory. It was a solid theory.
She brings Qin Yu in for questioning. She has a portrait that proves he was the "priest" at the church. She also has evidence that his alibi is bogus. But Qin Yu is a cool customer. He's been at this game for a long time. He basically tells her the evidence is thin. It's not enough to hold him. And he's right. He walks.
Back at home, Qin Yu knows the walls are closing in. He starts making plans for Yiwei to leave town. He's worried about Han Lie. We learn Han Lie has been targeting Yiwei in prison. He's trying to get him hooked on drugs as revenge against Qin Yu.
The Witness and the Confession
A key player returns to the board. Han Lie's goon, Xiao Lu, didn't die. He jumped into the sea and survived his injuries. He goes straight to Tang Xuan. He wants to be a witness.
Xiao Lu spills everything. He admits Han Lie killed Ma Shanbao. The order came after a mysterious phone call. The caller framed Ma Shanbao for injuring Han Gang. With this confession, Tang Xuan goes to arrest Han Lie. But he's already gone. Vanished.
Tang Xuan then tracks down a nurse named Ding Xi. She asks the nurse about the church murder. Ding Xi gets visibly nervous. It turns out her route home from work passes the church's back alley. She saw Qin Yu, wearing a mask, leaving the church that day. But when she was brought to the station earlier, she lied. She denied recognizing him. That's how Qin Yu walked free.
The Final Plan
Qin Yu isn't wasting any time. He buys three boat tickets. The plan is for him, Yiwei, and his mother-in-law to disappear. He even tells his mother-in-law a chilling instruction. If he doesn't show up at the pier, they should leave without him.
Meanwhile, Tang Xuan gets a huge break. Ding Xi witnesses Han Lie murder Xiao Lu at the hospital to silence him. Han Lie almost kills her too but lets her go. Shaken, Ding Xi finally tells Tang Xuan the truth. She confirms she saw Qin Yu at the church.
Tang Xuan finally has her witness. Then she gets the full report on Xiao Lu's dying confession. It contains a bombshell. Han Gang had raped Qin Yu's wife. Suddenly, everything clicks into place. This isn't just about revenge for a setup. This is personal. Tang Xuan now has a powerful motive.
The Showdown
The escape plan is set for noon. Yiwei leaves school, but Han Lie's men are already tailing him.
Tang Xuan finds Qin Yu just before he leaves. She confronts him with the motive. She knows why he killed Han Gang. She urges him to surrender. He refuses. As he leaves, he tells her "goodbye." The finality of that word makes her suspicious.
The call comes. Han Lie has kidnapped Yiwei. Qin Yu races to a cafe to meet him. Tang Xuan tries to follow but loses him in traffic.
Inside the cafe, the final confrontation begins. Qin Yu tells Han Lie that his father and brother deserved to die. Han Lie pulls out a gun. He puts one bullet in it and starts a game of Russian roulette. He says only one person, Qin Yu or Yiwei, can walk out alive.
Qin Yu doesn't hesitate. He points the gun at his own head and pulls the trigger. Click. It's empty. Han Lie then adds two more bullets to the cylinder. Qin Yu sees his chance. He grabs the gun, shoots one of Han Lie's men, then pulls out his own gun. He and Han Lie shoot each other, and both fall.
A Hero's End
It's not over. Yiwei discovers a bomb in the building. He also finds several hostages tied up in a back room. He manages to get everyone out.
Qin Yu is still alive, barely. He's crawling out of the building. But then he sees a young girl, one of the hostages, has woken up inside. Just as the bomb explodes, he throws his body over her, shielding her from the blast. He dies saving her.
The episode ends with Qin Yu's funeral. Tang Xuan is there. She admits she respects him for what he did in the end. She calls him a good father. Yiwei watches, remembering the good times with his family. He later buries his parents together. He gets clean, finds peace, and starts a new life.
