At the same time, Wu Shuang and Ji Xingluo are hunting for the "Nightmare Stone" (Wu Yan Stone) when Chong Guang finds them. He's furious at Wu Shuang's constant attacks. She reveals she blames him for Ye Yuan's death and the loss of her child, and she's out for payback.

Alright, folks, things are heating up in "Destiny and Saving"! Episode 24 is a rollercoaster of emotions, close calls, and questionable decisions. Let's dive in:
So, Ming Huang's people deliver the future Empress's threads – a fancy number called the "Hundred Phoenix Brocade." Chong Guang's loving it. Feng Lixue, not so much, but Chong Guang's all over her, reminding her of her impending Empress-hood. He even brings out the magic mirror for another round of "let's probe your deepest desires."
But wait! Feng Lixue spots Mo Xiao in a seriously unconvincing guard disguise. Suddenly, she's got issues with the mirror, throwing shade at Chong Guang's own inner demons. Chong Guang gets a little twitchy but brushes it off and orders Feng Lixue to change into the brocade. Clever girl, she insists Mo Xiao (still "guarding") accompany her.
Mo Xiao, bless his heart, gets straight to the point: Was he the dude she saw in the mirror? Busted! But when he's all "run away with me!", she hits him with the harsh truth: duty calls, people have responsibilities, and sometimes you gotta live a lie. Mo Xiao, realizing Empress = no turning back, practically begs her to ditch it all. She refuses. Again!
Chong Guang's waiting, practically drooling as Feng Lixue emerges in the dress. He's laying on the compliments THICK, and moves in for a kiss. Feng Lixue instinctively dodges, but he's persistent. Then, BAM! They're both hit with a wave of lust, and Feng Lixue starts seeing Mo Xiao instead of Chong Guang, even calling out his name! Chong Guang snaps to, realizes the dress is poisoned (duh!), and shoves her away just as Mo Xiao makes his grand entrance, knocking Chong Guang on his royal behind and whisking Feng Lixue to safety. Poyun's waiting outside for a speedy getaway.
Mo Xiao, being the selfless hero, transfers the poison to himself. Cue a super-intense kiss, and Feng Lixue gushes about how grateful she is.
Back at the palace, Chong Guang's sulking when Zi Ying crawls in, offering herself as a sacrifice to feed his creepy "Ice Purity Butterfly" (Bingqing Fu), anything to stop him from marrying Feng Lixue. Chong Guang's reaction? A swift backhand and a death threat. Yikes.
Xuyuan Yunchao, hearing Feng Lixue's chilling by a spring, drops off some clothes but chickens out when he sees her with Mo Xiao. He leaves the clothes with a passive-aggressive "we're even now" and a warning that Chong Guang's hunting her.
Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao are fleeing when she tries to ice-blast some pursuers, but Mo Xiao stops her, worried about the side effects.
Chong Guang nabs Poyun, but he's not talking. Instead of executing him, Chong Guang sends him back to Shao Hao Palace as a twisted message to Feng Lixue about loyalty.
Meanwhile, Ming Huang thinks Chong Guang's about to suffer big time from the whole love-desire thing. Ji Xingluo and Wu Shuang want to team up against Chong Guang, but Ming Huang's too chicken to join.
Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue are on the run, but Mo Xiao's poison is kicking in. He wants to head to Shushan, the one place Chong Guang fears. But Feng Lixue dreams of a place without good or evil, just them. Mo Xiao's in, even if it's just for a day. Then, Feng Lixue whips out a magical blue pearl, transporting them to a peaceful, ancient world.
It's a healing paradise! Feng Lixue reveals her dad gave her the pearl as an escape hatch. She admits she was wrong about her vendetta and wants to hide away with Mo Xiao. He's overjoyed and declares he doesn't care about sides anymore.
Back in the real world, Murong Jing sees their escape and lies to the sect leader, saying Mo Xiao's gone to Peach Blossom Valley to heal.
Mo Xiao worries about Yuan Beichen, but Feng Lixue urges him to forget everything.
Meanwhile, the antidote was the real deal, but Yuan Beichen's too far gone. Xie Lingyun spreads the fake Peach Blossom Valley story, and everyone breathes a sigh of relief. Lu Jianchuan asks to visit Mo Xiao, and Murong Changfeng agrees, hinting that Lu Jianchuan would have been sect leader if not for Mo Xiao.
In their fantasy hideaway, Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue are frolicking when Mo Xiao notices signs of a previous visitor. Feng Lixue's not worried, embracing a "live in the moment" attitude.
