Episode Summary

Ballerina Tan Siting returns to China and rejects her friend Xiaoyuan. She runs into her ex-boyfriend Feng Rui, who now has a child and a winery. Feng Rui's mother tries to set him up with a piano teacher named Wen Peiyan. Siting visits Feng Rui's bar but leaves after misunderstanding his relationship with Peiyan. The Ballerina Comes Home

Tan Siting is a star. She dances under the spotlight in her tutu and looks like a goddess. She is at the peak of her career. But she decides to walk away. She chooses to return to China. Her childhood friend Xiaoyuan picks her up at the airport.

Xiaoyuan kept in touch with her all these years. They are close. But he wants more than friendship. He tries to confess his feelings again. Siting shuts him down immediately. She friend-zones him just like last time.

Siting focuses on her career. But she has someone else in her heart. She sits on the plane and feels lost about the future. She feels like a seabird looking for a safe place to land.

Old Flames and New Lives

Xiaoyuan fills her in on the gossip. He talks about Feng Rui. Feng Rui retired from his previous life. He runs a winery now. He also has a child.

Siting explores Chengdu during the day. She hops on a random bus. She spots Feng Rui instantly. This brings back memories. They met on a bus back in college. She dropped something. He picked it up. They exchanged numbers and fell in love. Now, history repeats itself. The setting is the same. Siting feels a mix of emotions. Feng Rui sees her too. He feels a surge of emotion. He controls himself. The Mother's Plan

Feng Rui’s mother has other plans. She likes Wen Peiyan. Peiyan is gentle and elegant. She plays the piano well. Feng Rui’s kid is learning piano. It seems like a perfect match.
