Feud, Episode 24 Recap: A Mother's Revenge and a Tragic Betrayal

This episode of Feud plunges into the depths of despair and vengeance, as Li Qingyue's intricate plan for retribution spirals into a tragedy that may shatter her bond with Bai Jiusi forever. While the main couple faces their darkest hour, side plots involving fated love and shifting loyalties set the stage for a major confrontation that is upended by a sudden, last-minute twist.

Li Qingyue's Revenge Trap

The episode opens with a harrowing scene: Li Qingyue has been captured by villagers. They tie her to a post, convinced she is a demoness, and set her ablaze. This entire ordeal is a calculated move by Li Qingyue, designed to make Bai Jiusi witness the same kind of baseless accusations and helplessness that he once endured. As a goddess with an immortal body, the flames do not harm her. The villagers then bind her, wrap her in a straw mat, and bury her alive. Bai Jiusi watches, powerless and heartbroken.

Soon after, dogs dig up the grave, and a passing cultivator rescues the seemingly lifeless Li Qingyue. Before departing, he leaves her a mysterious book detailing powerful formations and artifacts. After recovering her spiritual powers, Li Qingyue approaches Bai Jiusi, pretending she wants to reconcile. Lowering his guard, he is caught in her trap as she seals his magical abilities.

A Fleeting Hope and a Devastating Betrayal

With Bai Jiusi powerless, Li Qingyue uses a formation from the book in a desperate attempt to resurrect her deceased son, Shi'an. The ritual is a success at first—she retrieves his Primordial Spirit, and the boy's form materializes, joyfully calling her "mother." But at this most critical moment, Bai Jiusi, having broken free, launches a surprise attack on Li Qingyue. In his rage and confusion, he inadvertently destroys their son's spirit just as he was about to be fully revived.

The realization of what he has done devastates Bai Jiusi. Li Qingyue, severely injured from the attack while trying to protect her child, is no match for him. The fragile truce between them is irrevocably broken. Consumed by guilt, Bai Jiusi seizes control of the Cang Lei Hall, where he is tormented by memories of their past and even injures himself in a fit of self-loathing. Li Qingyue, miles away, senses his pain. She finds solace only in a long, soul-baring conversation with her master, Qing Yang, who vows to stay by her side for the coming crisis.

Shifting Alliances and Subplots

Meanwhile, other forces are at play. Long Yuan summons the Sages of the Four Realms to the Cang Lei Hall, urging them to join his cause to eliminate Li Qingyue. The four sages, however, are full of boasts and excuses, clearly trying to avoid direct involvement. Long Yuan, aware of their cowardice, bites his tongue and simply pleads with them not to abandon him when the final battle begins.

In a separate storyline, Fan Ling'er, tasked with monitoring Zhang Suan, discovers they possess identical jade pendants. She explains to him that her pendant is part of a pair needed to overcome a fated "love trial." Zhang Suan, however, reveals his heart belongs to another and refuses to help, giving her his pendant and telling her to find another solution. But the narrative hints that a connection bound by destiny cannot be so easily severed.

Elsewhere, Ning Yan, while searching for Li Qingyue, aids Jiang Bian's father, whose carriage is stuck. Seeing the wheel is broken, she uses her powers to fly him directly to the Jingyun Sect.

Spoilers: The Final Showdown Takes an Unexpected Turn

On the day of the planned assault, the Sages of the Four Realms are nowhere to be found. Undeterred, Long Yuan prepares his forces to attack the Jingyun Sect. Just as the battle is about to commence, Bai Jiusi makes a dramatic return. He appears changed, enlightened, and immediately forbids any attack on the Jingyun Sect.

As the ominous clouds over the sect begin to part, Li Qingyue looks on in confusion. At that moment, Ning Yan arrives with urgent news: there has been a major upheaval in the Ninth Heaven.

It is revealed that Bai Jiusi, after reviewing Li Qingyue's memories, realized who truly framed them and set their tragedy in motion. He has gone to the Ninth Heaven to hunt down the true conspirator. The episode ends on multiple cliffhangers: Jiang Bian is manipulated by his senior into staying at the sect, and Fan Ling'er, opening a mysterious box left by her father, falls into a dangerous trap.
