Episode Summary
In this episode, Xiao Qiushui escapes the Tang sect with Tang Fang after tricking Tang Song. They accidentally get engaged after jumping off a cliff onto a wedding boat. Xiao Qiushui begins clearing a path for his family's return, but discovers his father never received the warning message. The episode ends with him tricking two low-level gangsters who have kidnapped Tang Fang.

A Failed Interrogation
The episode kicks off with Tang Qing searching Xiao Qiushui. She’s looking for the Hero's Token. Of course, she doesn't find it on him. So she moves to plan B. She pulls out some kind of confusion drug and waves it in his face.
She asks him where the token is hidden. He tells her it's in the bamboo forest outside the Tang sect. Tang Song hears this and immediately takes a bunch of guys to the forest. They start digging up the entire place. They find absolutely nothing.
It turns out Xiao Qiushui was playing them the whole time. He got an antidote pill from Tang Fang earlier. The drug had no effect on him. He was just messing with Tang Song and his sister. I have to admit, it was pretty funny watching them dig for nothing.
The Great Escape
Tang Fang creates a diversion and manages to escape. She runs straight to the jail where Xiao Qiushui is being held. She tries to free him, but he just breaks the chains himself. As they’re about to leave, Tang Song shows up and blocks their path.
But his attitude is completely different now. He's no longer the arrogant guy from before. He offers to introduce Xiao Qiushui to the Old Madam. He says she can help the Xiao family. Xiao Qiushui tells him again that he doesn't have the token. He suggests maybe the Power-wielding Gang has it. Tang Song immediately denies this. Tang Fang then accuses her brother of working with the gang. While they argue, Xiao Qiushui uses a move called the "Thick-Skinned Three Forms" and gets them both out of there.
An Accidental Proposal
A Leap of Faith
They run all the way to a cliff. Tang Song is right behind them. They have no choice. They jump. They end up landing on a wedding boat below. It was a close call. Tang Fang nearly falls into the water. Xiao Qiushui grabs her to save her, but he tears her sleeve in the process.
Well, That's One Way to Get Married
Tang Fang completely flips out. She says she made a promise to her dead mother. Any man who sees her skin has to die. She pulls out her sword. Xiao Qiushui tries to calm her down. He tells her the vow is ridiculous. He was just saving her life.
She doesn't care. She insists that only her husband is allowed to see her skin. The bride on the boat hears all this. She suggests Xiao Qiushui should just marry Tang Fang. Tang Fang agrees instantly. Xiao Qiushui agrees too, mostly to get Tang Song off his back for good. And just like that, they're engaged. Seriously.
Everyone's Making Moves
A New Mission
Their next stop is Guangling. Tang Fang stole a map from her brother's room. It shows the locations of all the different gang territories along the way. They figure all these gangs have probably surrendered to the Power-wielding Gang by now. Xiao Qiushui decides he needs to take out some of these strongholds. This will make the road safer for Xiao Yiren's return to Huanhua.
Meanwhile, Tang Song tells Tang Qing to spread a rumor. He wants everyone to think Xiao Qiushui has the Hero's Token and is headed to Guangling. His plan is to let the other gangs do his dirty work and kill Xiao Qiushui for him.
Trouble Back Home
Back at the Xiao estate, Xiao Xueyu and Xiao Kaiyan are looking for more evidence. They go to the alchemy room. They are ambushed by assassins dressed in black. Xiao Kaiyan jumps in front of Xiao Xueyu and takes a blow for her. Luckily, Xiao Yiren shows up just in time. The assassins run off.
Xiao Yiren knows they meant well. But he tells them they can't release the evidence yet. It would put the Xiao family in direct conflict with the Power-wielding Gang. He tells them not to do anything else on their own. They need to wait for a letter from Xiao Xilou.
A Dead Messenger Changes Everything
Xiao Qiushui successfully takes down two of the Power-wielding Gang's bases. He calculates that Xiao Yiren should already be on his way back to Jinzhong. The timing is based on when Old Madam Wu sent her messenger. But he can't find any sign of him on the road.
He decides to buy a horse to go meet him. Then he finds the official messenger dead in the woods. He realizes the message never got through. Xiao Yiren has no idea what has been happening.
The Ferry Inn Trap
A Kidnapping and a Bluff
Liu Suifeng learns that Tang Song failed to get the token. He tells Song Mingzhu to head to Jinzhong to intercept everyone. He also offers up his own personal token. Whoever gets the Hero's Token will get his as a reward.
Xiao Qiushui finds a dock that isn't controlled by the Power-wielding Gang. He hears there's a Ferry Inn there and plans to go buy a boat. But two guys, Pi Wang Tie Xingyue and Tie Kou Qiu Nanshun, are already there. They got a secret message from the Sword King. Their job is to stop Xiao Qiushui and take the token.
They kidnap Tang Fang to use as bait. Xiao Qiushui goes to the inn to find her. He completely outsmarts them with just a few words. He claims he already gave Tang Fang to another Power-wielding Gang member named Zuo Changsheng. He then plants a seed of doubt. He suggests that if Zuo Changsheng gets the information from Tang Fang, he'll take all the credit. Tie Xingyue and Qiu Nanshun are not the sharpest tools in the shed. They fall for it. They decide to take Xiao Qiushui with them to get Tang Fang back.
