Episode Summary
Li Shuang and Jin An get married on Wuling Mountain, vowing to cherish their remaining time as Jin An's memory loss looms. Their brief peace is shattered when Jin Wujian attacks them. He successfully removes the Jade Exquisite from Jin An, revealing it to be an evil object. Lu Xin arrives and kills the mortally wounded Jin Wujian, saving Mo Yin. In the aftermath, Jin An begins to lose his memories, starting with small but significant details, leaving Li Shuang to face a future with a man who will not remember her.

A New Kind of Bond
A Promise on the Mountain
The episode picks up right where we left off. Li Shuang and Jin An are holding each other. He's worried he lost control and hurt her. He thinks she should leave him. Taking out the Jade Exquisite will make him forget her anyway. So, he figures it's better to end things now.
Li Shuang is not having it. She bites his shoulder, hard. She tells him that even if the Jade Exquisite is gone, this bite is their new bond. Their time is short. They should make the most of what they have. She reminds him she'll only ever love him.
So, what do they do? They get married right there on Wuling Mountain. They promise to be loyal to each other, forever.
Life on Wuling Mountain
Lu Xin is also on the mountain, and she's curious about everything. But everyone keeps telling her to take it easy because she's pregnant. Mo Yin hears this and gets angry. He asks her how many people she told. Lu Xin says she only mentioned it once when she arrived. She has no idea how it became common knowledge.
Jin An wakes up and finds Li Shuang trying to cook for him. She says she saw regular women doing this, even though she's not very good at it. The scenery is beautiful, and Jin An mentions it would be nice to settle down there. Li Shuang gets a strange look on her face. He assumes she's worried about the Changfeng Army and her family. He tells her the decision is hers to make.
The Calm Before the Storm
Lu Xin's Request
Lu Xin wants to learn medicine from Mo Yin. He tells her Wuling Mountain is very strict about taking students. You either have to be fated, or you have to give up your most cherished possession.
Lu Xin thinks about it. She decides to give Mo Yin the pearl he once gave her. To her, it's the most precious thing she owns. This just makes him mad. He yells at her, saying she has no connection to Wuling Mountain. Right then, an alchemy furnace explodes. Mo Yin's first instinct is to shield Lu Xin.
Later, assassins sent by Jin Wujian try to kill Mo Yin. They fail. Mo Yin finds a silver needle left behind. He instantly knows Jin An is in danger.
The Inevitable Confrontation
Jin Wujian finds Li Shuang and Jin An. They are no match for him. Mo Yin rushes to the scene. He realizes Jin Wujian has been poisoned with a brain-eating powder.
Jin Wujian successfully removes the Jade Exquisite from Jin An's body. He explains that the so-called sacred object is actually an evil artifact. Since he practices evil arts, he can remove it easily.
Mo Yin is seriously injured in the fight. Lu Xin arrives just in time. She uses a special needle to kill Jin Wujian. By this point, Li Shuang and Jin An have already been knocked out by him. Mo Yin had wanted to suppress the poison and save his adoptive father, Jin Wujian. But Jin Wujian knew it was too late and asked Mo Yin to kill him.
Mo Yin gets the Jade Exquisite back. He has finally avenged his father. He tells Lu Xin not to feel bad about Jin Wujian's death. But Lu Xin says her friends are what she cherishes most. She won't lose them, even in death.
The Aftermath
The First Signs of Forgetting
Li Shuang wakes up with Jin An by her side. The Jade Exquisite is gone, but he seems... off. He talks about them returning to Lu City. He wants to find a house and live like a normal married couple.
Then, he pulls out her hairpin. He says it must have fallen off him at some point. He thinks it looks good on her. That's when Li Shuang realizes it's starting. He's forgetting.
Mo Yin confirms her fears. Jin An will slowly lose all his memories. Lu Xin is incredibly worried for Li Shuang. She's even more upset when she learns about the deal Li Shuang made with Su Muyang. She feels Li Shuang has thrown her entire life away for Jin An.
Jin An comes back with a flower he picked. He tells her it represents a new beginning. He hopes they can create new memories together.
