Episode Summary
Jin An and Li Shuang have a moment of connection before he transforms into an adult, leading to an attack where he loses his powers. Li Shuang decides to investigate his past, but they are ambushed in a secret tunnel. After Jin An saves Li Ting from a hostage situation, Li Shuang sends him to the General's Mansion. There, she punishes both her brother and herself for his recklessness.

The Morning After
A Little Cuddle, A Little Chat
Jin An wakes up and finds Li Shuang watching over him. He finally gets it. She wasn't trying to kill her brother, Li Ting. She was completely confident she could save him. She’s still awake this late because she’s worried about him.
Li Shuang tells Jin An why she brought him back to the camp. Her childhood was just like his. She was an orphan, lost and alone. General Li Wei took her in. But her relationship with her brother Li Ting was never very real. Li Wei taught her not to explain her actions to anyone.
She tells Jin An to sleep in her room for the night. They end up in the same bed, and Jin An gets incredibly shy about it.
An Unexpected Transformation
The Attack
Someone murders a guard at the Changfeng military camp. A man named Jin Wujian disguises himself as a soldier and slips inside.
Back in the tent, Jin An suddenly transforms into his adult form while sleeping. Li Shuang sees this, grabs her blade, and demands to know who he is. He quickly explains that he really is Jin An. Before she can press him, one of her subordinates reports for duty. She threatens Jin An to keep quiet. If anyone finds out there's a half-dressed man in her tent, she'll kill him.
Jin An hides under the covers. Li Shuang opens the tent flap. The soldier, controlled by Jin Wujian, lunges at her. Jin An tries to save her but discovers his super-strength is gone. He is almost kidnapped himself. He only gets free when a silver needle is accidentally pulled from his head during the struggle. It's clear someone is using strange powers to control soldiers. And now people know a man was in Li Shuang's tent.
A New Plan
Jin An is completely powerless. Li Shuang storms back into the tent to confront him. He just looks at her pathetically. He points out that without his powers, he isn't a threat to her anymore.
She realizes the attackers were specifically after Jin An. They wanted to capture him, not kill him. Li Shuang decides to take him to find out where he came from. But she warns him. If she finds anything suspicious, she will kill him on the spot. Jin Wujian sees them heading for a secret forest and prepares an ambush.
Into the Woods
The Secret Tunnel
Someone frees the prisoner Huo Du back at the camp. Li Ting sees this and foolishly gives chase.
Li Shuang and Jin An lead a team into the forest. They find the entrance to a secret passage. The place feels strangely familiar to Jin An. He and Li Shuang decide to go inside to investigate.
The cave is a mess. A huge fight must have happened here. A weirdly animated female corpse suddenly appears and drags Jin An away. Ji Ran and the other soldiers hear the noise and rush in. Li Shuang leads them in pursuit. Just then, Jin An’s strength returns, and he destroys the corpse.
A Hostage Situation
Li Ting’s pursuit of Huo Du backfires completely. He gets captured instead. Jin An stumbles upon the scene.
When Li Shuang finally catches up, she finds Huo Du holding Li Ting hostage. Huo Du uses her brother to threaten her. Jin An uses the last bit of his returning strength to kill Huo Du for good. After all this, Li Shuang makes a new call. She will secretly send Jin An to the General's Mansion.
The Aftermath in Lu City
A Painful Lesson
They reach Lu City. At the General's Mansion, a woman named Lu Xin is already taking care of Jin An. His super-strength and heightened senses are gone again. He is very frustrated by this. Lu Xin tells him to drink his recovery medicine first. They can figure out his weird condition later.
When Li Ting wakes up, Li Shuang whips him. She’s furious at his recklessness, his lack of respect, and his impulsive actions. He nearly messed up their father's plans. Then, she turns the whip on herself. She says that since she raised him, his failure is her failure as a teacher.
