Spoiler Alert
On a dark and stormy night, the search for a traitor within the Divine Capture Camp comes to a shocking and electrifying conclusion, setting off a new chain of mysteries.
The episode opens with Fang Yin revealing a critical piece of information: Jiang Yi, who had been tasked with copying a storyteller's script, has vanished. This act exposes him as a spy for the Ministry of Justice. The team immediately scatters to find him, but his home is deserted, suggesting he has been gone for some time. Known as a devoted son who cared for his elderly mother, his disappearance under such circumstances is highly suspicious.
As it turns out, the Divine Capture Camp discovers Jiang Yi on a nearby mountain, performing rites for his recently deceased mother. Cornered, he confesses everything. He admits to leaking Huang Wuchang's whereabouts to Zhuge Tong, but explains he was blackmailed into it by an accomplice of Huang Wuchang to save his mother's life—a life that was ultimately lost anyway. Jiang Yi recalls his meeting with the accomplice: it was a rainy night, the person was masked but had a distinct scar on their forehead and wore a unique shell ornament around their neck. Overcome with guilt and remorse for betraying his brothers, Jiang Yi prepares to accept his fate. In a stunning turn of events, he is struck by lightning and killed instantly. Upon inspecting the body, Xiao Beiming discovers a strange "Crystal Stone" in Jiang Yi's ear.
The team is left baffled. Why would the enemy silence Jiang Yi? Feng Qingzhuo theorizes a connection to the "Iron Beast Artisans," craftsmen who specialize in creating lightning-repelling iron gargoyles for palace roofs, believing they might hold the key to understanding the seemingly supernatural event.
Meanwhile, Tong Shuang takes the mysterious Crystal Stone to a man named Jiao Ye. He recognizes it as a rare object with a sweet scent. However, Jiao Ye has a problem of his own: a month prior, he fell from a roof and an iron nail became lodged in his head. While it didn't damage his brain, it causes excruciating pain, and no doctor has been able to help. He asks Feng Qingzhuo, known for his medical skills, to remove it in exchange for information.
Driven by his code as a healer, Feng Qingzhuo agrees to the high-risk procedure and successfully removes the nail. A grateful Jiao Ye reveals what he knows about the Crystal Stone. He first learned of it from a local hunter. The day after their conversation, Jiao Ye suffered his "accidental" fall, leading Tong Shuang to suspect it was a failed assassination attempt. Jiao Ye explains a chilling property of the stone: if it enters a person's body, they must remain in a sealed room for a full day during rainy weather until its power dissipates, or they risk death.
At the same time, Zhong Xueman's investigation at a jewelry shop confirms that a hunter recently purchased a shell ornament matching the one described by Jiang Yi. Putting the pieces together, Feng Qingzhuo spots the hunter outside the shop and follows him into the mountains. The hunter quickly realizes he's being tailed and flees into the wilderness.
Tong Shuang gives chase but becomes lost in a dense, bewildering forest. Xiao Beiming leads the Divine Capture Camp to find them, only to discover the hunter's dead body along the path. Guided by Huo Dairong, they navigate the treacherous woods and find Tong Shuang, who has been captured by a man named Huang Liang. He is just about to force a Crystal Stone into her when Xiao Beiming and his team intervene. Though outnumbered, they are saved by the timely arrival of Zhuge Kongyun and his Dark Detective Camp. Huang Liang is apprehended, but to repay a debt of gratitude, he looks to the sky and is seemingly struck by lightning, committing suicide. Xiao Beiming instantly recognizes the ploy and yells for his team to retreat as Huang Liang's body explodes behind them.
