Episode Summary
Jia Xiaoduo continues her mission through a series of perilous, shifting train car realities. She first encounters Yu Dan, who is desperately waiting for a letter from his mother and ultimately perishes when the car falls off a cliff. Next, she meets Liu Tiao'er, who suffers from agoraphobia; this scenario transforms into Jia Xiaoduo's actual neighborhood before Liu Tiao'er disappears into the sea. The perspective then shifts to Xu Tian, who enters a car with an uncooperative man named Tie Lin before an avalanche engulfs the train. Xu Tian awakens from this illusion, seemingly reborn, and immediately receives another ride request from Jia Xiaoduo. Later, Wang Yangming confronts Xu Tian, presenting medical records and video evidence suggesting Jia Xiaoduo has a mental illness and believes she and Xu Tian are the same person. Despite this revelation, Xu Tian resolves to enter the illusion again with Jia Xiaoduo, this time retaining his own identity.

Jia Xiaoduo narrowly escapes danger and finds herself alone in another train car, where she encounters Yu Dan. Yu Dan appears dejected, holding a letter, and asks Jia Xiaoduo to read it for him. Focused on her mission and with the countdown timer running low, Jia Xiaoduo initially refuses. Yu Dan, wearing earmuffs, explains he's afraid of loud noises and has been waiting there for three years for a reply from his mother. Hearing this, Jia Xiaoduo suggests he check his mailbox, as his mother's reply might already be there. She manages to find the key and opens the mailbox, but among the scattered letters, none are from Yu Dan's mother. Yu Dan then reveals his mother's address. With time about to run out, Jia Xiaoduo quickly writes a letter in Yu Dan's mother's persona, urging him to leave with her. However, Yu Dan insists that Jia Xiaoduo read the letter he has. She improvises, making up some words. As the train car is on the verge of destruction, Yu Dan shows no intention of leaving. Left with no choice, Jia Xiaoduo abandons him and leaps to another car, while Yu Dan and the car he's in plummet off a cliff.
Summoning her courage, Jia Xiaoduo opens the door to the next train car and is met by a person named Liu Tiao'er. Cautiously, Jia Xiaoduo observes her surroundings. Liu Tiao'er is engrossed in painting a wall. Jia Xiaoduo takes out some takeout food from a table, suggesting Liu Tiao'er take a break. With only five minutes remaining, Jia Xiaoduo presses Liu Tiao'er to state her needs. Liu Tiao'er suffers from agoraphobia, experiencing breathlessness when in close proximity to others. She had ordered takeout on the train, and surprisingly, a delivery person arrives. Simultaneously, the sound of the moving train ceases, and the setting transforms into the Xinyuanli residential complex – Jia Xiaoduo's actual neighborhood, a place Xu Tian is familiar with from frequently driving her home. Realizing time is up and understanding that the journey's purpose is to find the real Jia Xiaoduo, she leaves Liu Tiao'er behind and jumps to the next car without hesitation.
Liu Tiao'er exits the train car and jumps into the sea, quickly disappearing. When Xu Tian next opens a car door, he finds a man named Tie Lin waiting for him. Xu Tian asks about his needs, but Tie Lin is uncooperative, hostile, and tries to drive Xu Tian away. As time runs out, the train is instantly buried by an avalanche. Xu Tian then awakens from the illusion, thrilled to be unexpectedly reborn. Coincidentally, at this moment, Jia Xiaoduo requests his ride-hailing service for the 18th time. Xu Tian quickly freshens up and hurries to the destination.
That evening, Xu Tian arrives at the bottom of Jia Xiaoduo's apartment building. Wang Yangming gets into his car and shows Xu Tian medical records indicating Jia Xiaoduo suffers from a mental illness, claiming that the events of the previous night were all orchestrated by her. Wanting to know the truth, Xu Tian follows Wang Yangming to a location where Wang Yangming presents video evidence of Jia Xiaoduo during her episodes to substantiate his claims. In the video, Jia Xiaoduo tells Wang Yangming that she always feels like she and Xu Tian are the same person. After watching the video, Xu Tian doesn't give up on Jia Xiaoduo. He decides to enter the illusion with her, but this time, he does not transform into Jia Xiaoduo's appearance.
