Episode Summary
Xu Tian and Jia Xiao Duo's connection deepens, with Jia Xiao Duo encouraging Xu Tian to embrace his true self. However, Jia Xiao Duo experiences unsettling moments of disorientation and even sees an apparition of a man named Tie Lin. Their lives become intertwined with a persistent and angry deliveryman, who is later revealed to be this same Tie Lin. He aggressively pursues them through a series of escalating encounters. These include a chase that ends with the deliveryman crashing his vehicle, a confrontation at an amusement park where Xu Tian momentarily seems to gain extraordinary abilities to protect Jia Xiao Duo, and finally, an incident where Xu Tian, attempting to direct traffic during a major jam, ends up in an argument that leads him (and eventually Tie Lin who was chasing him) to the police station.

Xu Tian is over the moon as he glances at Jia Xiao Duo in his rearview mirror, finally reunited with the person he’s been longing to see. Wanting to capture every moment, he even turns his dashcam inwards to secretly record her. When Jia Xiao Duo notices, she isn’t angry at all; instead, she gently encourages him to live true to himself and not hold back.
Life for Xu Tian has settled into a predictable rhythm: diligent work during the day, and moonlighting as a ride-share driver at night. Jia Xiao Duo finds his routine a bit too monotonous and asks him about it. Xu Tian admits he loves the feeling of driving without obstruction and even cherishes the moments of solitude on an empty bus. Jia Xiao Duo encourages him to open up, playfully teasing that he’s like a strong snail. She also correctly guesses his secret admiration for traffic police and the satisfaction he imagines they get from reprimanding offenders. It dawns on Xu Tian that Jia Xiao Duo is like an extension of his own subconscious, inspiring him to consider things he’d never normally dare. She then plainly tells him she likes him. As Xu Tian walks her home, Jia Xiao Duo warmly invites him up to her apartment to chat about their dreams and aspirations. Flattered and a little stunned, Xu Tian gathers his courage and follows her into the residential complex. However, once inside the large building, he finds himself completely lost, with no idea which apartment is hers.
Meanwhile, after stepping out of the elevator, Jia Xiao Duo is hit by a wave of dizziness and confusion, momentarily unable to even recall where her own room is. Xu Tian, anxiously searching the hallways without success, eventually gives up and leaves.
Alone in the corridor, Jia Xiao Duo suddenly sees an apparition of Tie Lin, a figure from her previous illusions. This Tie Lin is engrossed in typing on his phone, attempting to communicate with her, but Jia Xiao Duo, her mind elsewhere, pays him no heed. Unexpectedly, the words Tie Lin types out form her apartment number, and he even points towards her door. However, Jia Xiao Duo hesitates to go in. She suddenly remembers that this same person (or someone looking like him) had delivered a package for her, and she also has an outstanding takeout order. Deciding to see how things unfold, she deliberately delays going into her apartment.
Later, Jia Xiao Duo walks into a store to find Xu Tian there, laden with shopping bags. As they sit and chat, Xu Tian musters the courage to ask her why she likes him. While they’re talking, a furious deliveryman storms out of the residential complex, brandishing an iron rod. Jia Xiao Duo glances at the time, feels it’s not the right moment for a long conversation, and tries to wrap things up.
Soon after, Xu Tian and Jia Xiao Duo are on a bus when the same deliveryman spots them and begins to chase the vehicle relentlessly. Jia Xiao Duo, however, remains surprisingly calm, feeling safe with Xu Tian by her side. The bus is nearly empty, creating the quiet atmosphere Xu Tian enjoys. As music begins to play and heavy rain pours down outside, Xu Tian, feeling a surge of confidence, walks over to Jia Xiao Duo and bravely pulls her into an embrace. In a twist of fate, the pursuing deliveryman crashes into a private car and ends up having to pay a significant sum in damages.
Jia Xiao Duo finds herself in a vibrant amusement park, surrounded by a dazzling array of rides and a bustling crowd. Yet, it all feels somewhat unreal to her, and she doesn't experience much joy. Looking around, she sees people moving to the music and impulsively starts to dance along. The music happens to be Xu Tian’s favorite, and perhaps spurred by Jia Xiao Duo’s earlier words of encouragement, he joins in, dancing to the rhythm. Suddenly, the deliveryman, identified now as Tie Lin, appears, aggressively seeking to settle a score with Jia Xiao Duo. Xu Tian immediately steps in front of her to protect her. In a bizarre moment, he seems to transform into a martial arts expert; time freezes around them, and he effortlessly dodges Tie Lin's attacks. When everything returns to normal, Tie Lin realizes Jia Xiao Duo has vanished and frantically searches for her.
As Xu Tian drives Jia Xiao Duo home, they get caught in a severe traffic jam, the cars gridlocked bumper-to-bumper. Jia Xiao Duo laughingly teases Xu Tian that this is his chance to live out his fantasy of directing traffic. Taking her seriously, Xu Tian actually gets out of the car and starts to direct the vehicles, but this quickly leads to an argument with another driver. To resolve the dispute, the traffic police arrive and take both Xu Tian and the other driver to the police station. There, they unexpectedly run into Tie Lin, who is still doggedly pursuing Xu Tian.
