Spoiler Alert
"My Name Is Zhao Chuxi" Episode 27: Revenge, Regrets, and a Birthday Party Gone Wild
Let’s just say this episode has everything: kitchen disasters, messy power plays, and a chaotic birthday party that’ll make you glad your family reunions aren’t this dramatic. Buckle up!
Breakfast (and Chaos) of Champions
The episode kicks off with Cheng Zixin’s brilliant plan to cook a "thank you" meal for Zhao Chuxi and Lin Sanwu. Spoiler: It goes exactly as you’d expect. Her culinary adventure nearly sets the kitchen on fire (no exaggeration), leaving poor Zhao to salvage breakfast while Cheng happily chows down, face covered in soot. Moral of the story? Never let your hype man near a frying pan.
Meanwhile, over at Luo Shen Group, Su Qin is sweating bullets after Zhao pulls funding from their joint project with Sanjiang. Desperate, Su Qin begs his sister Su Xiluo to fix things. But here’s the kicker: Xiluo knows she’s the reason Zhao fled to Sanjiang years ago after she betrayed him to Xu Shaoqing. Now she’s drowning in guilt, crying alone like a tragic heroine in a soap opera. Classic "I-screwed-over-my-ex-and-now-he’s-a-billionaire" dilemma.
Birthday Party or War Zone?
Uncle Liu’s 66th birthday bash becomes the hottest (and most dangerous) ticket in Jiacheng. Everyone’s there: power-hungry Zhou Bin, smirking Xu Shaoqing (with a visibly miserable Xiluo on his arm), and Zhao’s old rival Li Jianshe, who’s thrilled to watch Zhou’s downfall.
Zhao crashes the party like a boss, snatching the mic mid-speech from Zhou Bin to deliver "blessings" laced with icy threats. Uncle Liu pretends not to remember him (rude), but Zhao ain’t having it. He drops the Sanjiang Group card, and suddenly all the tough guys in the room remember urgent appointments elsewhere. Zhou Bin’s humiliation? Chef’s kiss.
The Love Triangle Nobody Asked For
Zhao then strolls over to Xu and Xiluo’s table, casually peeling shrimp like he owns the place (he kinda does). In front of a seething Xu Shaoqing, he offers Xiluo a deal: Ditch Xu, and he’ll save Luo Shen Group. Cue the longest awkward silence in history. Xiluo storms out alone later, leaving Xu fuming and viewers screaming at their screens: "JUST KISS ALREADY!"
Meanwhile, in Villain HQ…
Zhou Bin’s panicking, so he and Xu hatch a totally sane plan: hire foreign hitmen to take out Zhao. Because obviously assassination is easier than, say, apologizing? Meanwhile, Uncle Liu sends spy master Li Jianshe to sniff out Zhao’s next move.
Next Episode Predictions:
- That hitman plot’s gonna backfire spectacularly.
- Xiluo’s 100% going to flip sides (the tears said it all).
- Zhao’s gonna turn Uncle Liu’s empire into confetti.
Stay tuned, folks. This revenge arc’s juicier than the shrimp Zhao didn’t finish.
