Then comes the bombshell: Zhang Yali died because of a vile man named Tang Jialin, who tried to assault Le Shuishan. Zhang Yali stopped him but paid for it. Tang, full of revenge, sent Zhang—who had severe nearsightedness and high blood pressure—on a brutal mission in the desert. He didn’t survive. Le Shuishan, five months pregnant at the time, lost her baby after confronting Tang in grief. Zhuoran is furious and vows to find the man responsible.
Aging, Regrets, and Hard Choices
Ding Mu, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, forgets he left the tap running and floods his apartment. Zhuoran and Bingqiang rush over to help. Ding Mu tries to shut off the power himself, but his wife stops him, and in a heartbreaking moment, he slaps her in frustration.
