Hidden Master: Episode 26

Spoiler Alert

So, Ma Yingdan is in a bind. The antidote to save her is a one-of-a-kind concoction brewed by Liu Guang for his beloved wife, Ma Linglan. Knowing her mom's life is on the line, Yingdan makes the selfless decision to give the antidote to Linglan. Wu Changxia, seeing her resolve, doesn't push it, but offers her a potent pill he once made for terminally ill patients, just in case the pain becomes unbearable. Talk about a heavy moment!

In a comedic interlude, Wen Laike and Wang Yuanxia fake their own deaths to ditch He Changzai's dangerous missions. These guys are officially retiring from the Wulin (martial arts world) scene! Back to the main drama, Yingdan, with a storm of emotions in her eyes, gives the antidote to her mother. Gou Lingfeng, in a moment of hope, suggests that if Wu Changxia could make one antidote, he could make another. But Yingdan drops a bomb: the key ingredient is gone forever. Liu Guang's blood was the only thing that could make it work.

When Ma Linglan wakes up and hears the name "Liu Guang," tears well up in her eyes. She confesses that Yingdan's father is indeed Liu Guang. They separated after a fight, and she left in a huff, but she always remembered he wasn't a bad guy, just a man caught in a tough situation. Deng Yunfeng, ever the cynic, scoffs, saying that now that she's been saved by Liu Guang's sacrifice, she's going to sing his praises. Ouch.

The drama intensifies when Linglan learns that Yingdan gave her the antidote. She's furious and slaps Yingdan across the face. Yingdan, without a word, turns and leaves. Gou Lingfeng follows to comfort her, but she shuts him out. Just then, a messenger arrives with bad news: He Changzai and the Wulin alliance are storming Poison Immortal Valley! Lingfeng and the others are suspicious of how He Changzai found them, and their eyes turn to Deng Yunfeng. But Yunfeng swears he would never betray Yingdan, and Yingdan believes him.

With danger closing in, they need a plan, fast. He Changzai and his crew surround their hideout, and Deng Yunfeng steps up to confront them. But these guys aren't listening to reason, and a fight breaks out. Swords clash as Deng Yunfeng, Gou Lingfeng, and Zhuge Heng fight bravely, but they're outnumbered. In the chaos, Ma Yingdan is injured protecting Ma Linglan, and her white robes are stained with blood.

Seeing this, Ma Linglan leads everyone to a forbidden area, claiming it's just a simple valley that Liu Guang created, a place where she comes to remember him. Young Yingdan once stumbled in there, unaware of its significance. Yingdan's injuries trigger her poison-infused body, causing a dangerous reaction. Gou Lingfeng, in a desperate move, cuts his own hand and feeds his blood to Yingdan, which miraculously helps her recover.

As night falls, Deng Yunfeng stops Gou Lingfeng, urging him to reconsider his beliefs. He argues that the Wulin assembly is corrupt, and the so-called XiaKe (heroes) are just fame-seekers who don't care about the people. But Gou Lingfeng stubbornly clings to his faith in Wu Guangming and the others. Deng Yunfeng challenges him to think about recent events: the suffering of the people is ignored, while Ma Yingdan, who heals and helps, is branded as a remnant of the Demonic Sect. Is that his idea of justice? Deng Yunfeng shares his own past, admitting he likes Ma Yingdan and wants her to be happy. Gou Lingfeng starts to see things differently.

Suddenly, He Changzai and his forces arrive, swords pointed at Ma Yingdan. Gou Lingfeng explodes, demanding if they've forgotten Yingdan's kindness, how she treated and healed the people. Now, because of the "Demonic Sect" label, they want to kill her? How is that different from evil? But they ignore him, and the attack begins. Just then, a powerful voice shouts, and Liu Guang arrives, deflecting the attackers with a wave of his sleeve!

Yingdan and the others retreat from the valley, and Liu Guang explains his past and his reasons. He and Ma Linglan finally reconcile, but Yingdan is still resentful towards her father. Ma Linglan gently nudges Yingdan, telling her to call him "father." Yingdan immediately stands up and asks, "Why should I?"

Looks like the family drama is just getting started! Will Yingdan ever accept Liu Guang? Can Gou Lingfeng change the Wulin assembly from within? And what's next for our heroes? Stay tuned for the next episode of "Hidden Master"!
