Episode 2 Recap & Spoilers:

Okay, so the episode kicks off at the search site. Xu Xiao spots someone in a red jacket acting super suspicious. Naturally, she tries to question him, but Red Jacket bolts the second he sees her. A chase ensues, and Xu Xiao and her colleagues corner the guy in the woods. Turns out, it's a false alarm! The dude was just hired to dump some dead piglets there. Weird, right?

Meanwhile, the forensic team figures out the markings on the victim's eyes were definitely made before death, but the other wounds happened after. The motive is still a big question mark.

Then, Lin Guoqiang, shows up trying to convince Xu Xiao that his whole feng shui theory can actually help solve the case. Xu Xiao isn't buying it, dismissing it as old-school superstition. Lin Guoqiang pulls out his old case files, trying to prove his point, but Xu Xiao thinks he's just desperate to look good before retirement.

Lin Guoqiang then presents a map with potential burial sites, demanding Xu Xiao commit to finding the other half of the body within two days. Xu Xiao's hesitant because, let's face it, it sounds crazy. She thinks it's a waste of precious time and manpower. Lin Guoqiang, clearly frustrated, almost gives up, but Xu Xiao, desperate for a lead, decides to trust him, just this once. They search for ages with no luck, and everyone starts doubting the plan. Xu Xiao, while still supportive, decides to go back to her own methods.

After two days of fruitless searching, everyone's losing faith. Xiao Xing calls Xu Xiao, who arrives on the scene with Da Fei. Seeing Lin Guoqiang's exhaustion, Xu Xiao suggests he focus on the main investigation. But Lin Guoqiang is stubborn and insists on digging himself. They argue, and during the squabble, they both tumble down a slope... and bam! They land right where the other half of the body is buried. Talk about luck!

Later that night, Lin Guoqiang is dozing in his chair, dreaming about his daughter. Xu Xiao comes to see him. Since Lin Guoqiang's method led to finding part of the body, Xu Xiao is now willing to listen. She asks about his past cases, and Lin Guoqiang suggests bringing in outside help. He takes Xu Xiao to Professor Han, an archaeology expert.

At first, Professor Han doesn't pay them much attention. But then Chen Nan discovers a pair of skeletons embracing, initially thought to be lovers. However, the pelvic bones reveal they were both men. Xu Xiao uses her expertise to point out that it's actually a crime scene – the two men were fighting. Impressed by their skills, Professor Han reconsiders his initial impression. He can't personally help due to prior commitments, but he offers his student, Chen Nan, to assist with the case.

On the way back, Xu Xiao grumbles about having to rely on an archaeology PhD to solve a case, especially one involving ancient methods. It just seems too far-fetched.

The episode ends on a dark note. Chen Nan is at home, contemplating the young female victims and wanting to bring them justice, so she starts analyzing the case based on her archaeological knowledge. Cut to a KTV, where a drunk, scantily clad woman stumbles down the hallway. A man in black suddenly appears, drugs her with M, and carries her off to a creepy basement. The woman already has symbols drawn on her eyes, and the black-clad man proceeds to cut her up with a chainsaw. Yikes!
