Episode Summary
Li Ge plans to flee but tasks Yang Xiao Yi with a mission. Lao Wan dies by suicide after learning Huo Min and Li Ge plot against him. Huo Min is manipulated by both sides. Han Yao tries to expose Shoulong Group. Azure No. 1 data is in play at a hotel, leading to a tense standoff where loyalties are questioned and a dangerous choice is forced upon Han Yao and Huo Min.

So, Li Ge's got a bad feeling and is trying to skip town with a suitcase full of cash. But right before she jumps in the car, she shoves the money to Yang Xiao Yi, telling her to stay put. Then, Li Ge hits up the hospital to see Huo Min, suspecting he's in cahoots with Zheng Qi. To prove his loyalty and really mess with the Shoulong Group, she wants Huo Min to ice Lao Wan. But just as Huo Min's reaching for a syringe, Lao Wan wakes up! Doctors tell Huo Min that Lao Wan’s got a brain tumor that's spreading, so brace yourself. Lao Wan tells Huo Min he can trust him no matter what, and to just go for it and he'll have his back. Lao Wan is clearly sweet on Huo Min, and even asks him to call him "Dad," but Huo Min refuses. While Huo Min's getting water, Lao Wan overhears the whole convo between Huo Min and Li Ge, and realizes he's been played. So, he grabs that syringe and injects himself. Ouch.
Huo Min is devastated, sobbing over Lao Wan's body, calling him "Dad," but it's too late. Meanwhile, Lin Yasheng takes Bai Keqing out for Japanese food. Bai Keqing chats with the owner in Japanese, and the owner's stoked she's a repeat customer. But Bai Keqing tells Lin Yasheng it's her first time there. Sketchy! Han Yao then pulls a total media stunt, gathering a bunch of reporters outside the hospital to grill Huo Min and tie Lao Wan's death to the Shoulong Group. Zheng Qi jumps in, saying it's got nothing to do with them, and tries to bribe Huo Min to keep quiet. Huo Min, in a dramatic move, throws the money in the air, declaring that no one's getting away with this.
Matt's impressed that Huo Min offed Lao Wan, but Li Ge is suspicious about Huo Min knocking out his guard. Matt says her transfer request has been approved, but Li Ge's having second thoughts about leaving. Matt knows what she's planning and warns her to clean up her mess before she goes. In a shocking turn, Huo Min tries to run Li Ge over in the Xin Chuan charity parking garage, but luckily, Luo Shanshan stops him. She assures him Li Ge will get what's coming to her.
Meng Li finally remembers Huo Min's name, which makes Huo Min super happy. But then Meng Li breaks up with him, saying her transfer's been approved. Talk about mixed signals! Yang Xiao Yi gathers her crew at the Lijing Hotel, saying they snagged the core data for Azure No. 1 and are meeting there to hand it over. Zhao Jizheng gets intel that there's still a mole in the Shoulong Group and that SAD is making moves at the Lijing Hotel. Hu Fei and his team disguise themselves as hotel staff and get in early. Han Yao and Huo Min show up together, and as soon as they enter the hotel, they both get a text telling them to act tonight. Meanwhile, Yang Xiao Yi and Lu Wei sneak into the hotel disguised, and block the signal. Once they reach the top floor, Han Yao and Huo Min have to hand over their phones before meeting Li Ge.
Li Ge thinks the surveillance van outside is Matt's crew, so she has them reported for illegal parking. Luo Shanshan and the team have to bail. Li Ge then pulls up the security cam feed of Yang Xiao Yi's room. Luo Shanshan and Hu Fei, disguised as cleaning staff, enter the room to snoop around. Huo Min, looking tense, bites his finger. Li Ge cuts the feed and has her guys hold guns to Han Yao and Huo Min's heads, forcing them to choose which of the "cleaning ladies" in the video dies first. Huo Min, playing it cool, says to kill the guy. Han Yao says he'll go with Li Ge's choice. Just as they're about to make a move, Huo Min snatches a gun and points it at himself, saying he used to work for Matt. Then, he turns the gun on Han Yao, claiming he's a cop!
Huo Min tells Li Ge that Matt ordered him to take her out. But if Han Yao doesn't die, they're both toast. Li Ge grabs Huo Min's gun and points it at Han Yao, scaring him half to death. Li Ge pulls up the video feed again, and Luo Shanshan and Hu Fei overhear everything. Realizing the actor is in danger, they send him a text. What a cliffhanger!
