Episode Summary
Hong Ning and Jinxiu grow closer as they deal with a flower-related crisis. Hong Ning learns Jinxiu's name and receives a flower bell to communicate with him. She gets attacked by Kochia scoparia while trying to grow flowers for the Huachao Festival, and Jinxiu saves her. Their wrists get tangled, leading to awkward moments. Jinxiu eventually locks Hong Ning in the Hundred Flower Diagram. Meanwhile, Lu Yao tries to impress Jinxiu with a dance, and Hong Ning arrives at the Huachao Festival, shocked by a mark on Jinxiu's forehead.

Hong Ning's got it bad, y'all. Every time she's around Jinxiu, her heart does a little drum solo. Jinxiu, ever the observant one, diagnoses it as palpitations. Hong Ning, being the curious kitty she is, notices all the boo-boos on Jinxiu. Jinxiu plays it cool, says it's NBD and tells her to focus on her makeup. Hong Ning, bless her heart, realizes she doesn't even know his name after all this time! Jinxiu finally drops the bomb and tells her his name.
Now, Hong Ning's gotta know how to get ahold of him. Jinxiu hands her a flower bell, telling her to just talk to it, and he'll hear her. Turns out, it actually works! Jinxiu, back at his place, remembers his dad's orders to cut off all emotional ties and sadly sets the bell aside. Meanwhile, Jiaobo is in denial about Hong Ning getting snatched. Lemon Spirit is all, "Girl, the rabbit spirits saw it! Get real!"
Lemon Spirit is convinced Hong Ning's toast because she bloomed out of season and the Flower God's got her. Jiaobo refuses to believe it. Enter Lu Jiu, who overhears the whole thing and wants to know if the person they grabbed is Jinxiu. Lemon Spirit spills the tea, and Lu Jiu, being a celestial being, gets them to take him to Jinxiu's last known location.
Hong Ning, in a moment of questionable decision-making, tries to yank out some Kochia scoparia . Surprise! It attacks her. She screams for help, and Jinxiu, being the knight in shining armor, comes to her rescue. He wants to know what she's doing there, and she explains she needs to grow flowers to participate in the Huachao Festival . Jinxiu realizes the Apricot Immortalis behind this. He warns her that the Kochia scoparia attacks when provoked, but Hong Ning's determined to participate in the festival.
During the rescue, the Kochia scoparia wraps their wrists together! Jinxiu needs to figure out how to undo this mess, but Hong Ning's worried about her precious flowers. Jinxiu teaches her a protection spell, which she nails on the first try. Jinxiu realizes it's because he gave her his finger bone. They hit the books to find a solution, but all they find is that the vines disappear after a day and a night. No shortcuts!
Hong Ning, unfazed by the situation, decides to take a nap. Jinxiu is scandalized! He's all, "We're alone! This is inappropriate!" Hong Ning suggests inviting more people, which Jinxiu vetoes because that would be even worse. Hong Ning, exasperated, just crashes. Then, she drags Jinxiu into a pond for a bath!
Jinxiu, officially done with this, orders Chrysanthemum Officialto lock Hong Ning in the Hundred Flower Diagram . Hong Ning begs for mercy, saying she needs to grow flowers for the festival. Chrysanthemum Official says Jinxiu's orders are final and shoves her in. Kunlun chimes in, saying the only way out is to count all the petals, which is impossible.
Hong Ning's stuck, and Chrysanthemum Official thinks she's doomed unless there's a solar eclipse. But Hong Ning's got a plan! Meanwhile, Lu Yao is pulling out all the stops to impress Jinxiu, practicing a dance for the Huachao Festival. Jinxiu tells her it's unnecessary, but she's doing it for him. Others present their flowers, but Shaoyao'ssingle-colored peony doesn't make the cut.
Jinxiu's about to leave when Hong Ning finally shows up! And she's shocked to see a divine mark on Jinxiu's forehead!
