Episode Summary
In this episode, Luo Man and Zhou Musun's relationship deepens after a heart-to-heart, though they briefly clash over attending a wedding. At the wedding, Zhou Musun's ex-wife, Yu Qiaoqiao, is unexpectedly kind to Luo Man. Meanwhile, Chen Kaixi's food vlogging isn't taking off, so Luo Man suggests she get a co-host. The wedding itself is dramatic: Chen Kaixi, Chen Mian, and Zhong Qingcheng have an awkward joint arrival; Zhong Qingcheng encounters her demeaning ex-boyfriend; and Li Wei'an makes a scene demanding custody of her son. Later, Luo Man, Chen Kaixi, and Zhong Qingcheng get revenge by pranking Zhong Qingcheng's ex. The episode concludes with Luo Man feeling awkward as she spots Zhou Musun talking with Yu Qiaoqiao.

It looks like things are finally starting to thaw between Zhou Musun and Luo Man. Remember that wall Luo Man felt between them? Well, after a real heart-to-heart, it seems to be crumbling, and Luo Man's even getting a peek into Zhou Musun's vulnerable side, making her feel for what he's been through. Aww!
Meanwhile, Chen Kaixi is still grinding away at her food vlogger career. She's got the Weibo followers, but her actual viewership numbers? Not so hot. She even tried a giveaway, but no dice. Luo Man and Zhong Qingcheng were brainstorming ways to help, and while dishing on some gossip over dinner, Luo Man had a lightbulb moment: Chen Kaixi needs a co-host! Someone to chat with, spill some tea, and really draw in the crowds. Zhong Qingcheng, ever the savvy one, even had the perfect partner in mind, and her logic totally impressed Luo Man. Luo Man then upped the ante, suggesting that if they roped in Chen Kaixi's friend, Li Wei'an, the livestream would be absolutely explosive!
Later that night, Chen Kaixi heard from Chen Mian that Luo Man and Zhou Musun supposedly had a fight. Chen Mian, ever the pessimist (or maybe just wishful thinker?), guessed they were on the verge of a breakup, which naturally got Chen Kaixi worried. Plot twist! Zhou Musun and Luo Man were actually snuggled up on the couch, watching a movie, looking anything but broken up. So much for Chen Mian's intel! They did hit a little snag, though, when it came to attending a wedding. Luo Man was set on going, and Zhou Musun, unable to win that argument, caved but gave her a heads-up: his ex-wife might be there. Dun dun dun!
Chen Kaixi was also planning to attend this wedding and had arranged to go with Zhong Qingcheng. But on the day of, guess who decided to tag along uninvited? Yep, Chen Mian. So, the three of them ended up in a super awkward car ride together.
At the wedding, things got even more interesting. Zhou Musun's ex, Yu Qiaoqiao, made a beeline for Luo Man. Instead of drama, though, Yu Qiaoqiao actually gave Luo Man the inside scoop on Zhou Musun, even revealing how important Luo Man is to him. This really touched Luo Man. Elsewhere, Chen Mian was busy trying to woo Chen Kaixi and also hit on Zhong Qingcheng, who was expertly dodging his advances. When Luo Man spotted Chen Kaixi and Zhong Qingcheng arriving together (with Chen Mian in tow, presumably), she was pretty surprised.
The wedding wasn't just a reunion for Zhou Musun and his ex; Zhong Qingcheng also ran into an old flame. Unfortunately, he decided to be a jerk and humiliate her. Luckily, Luo Man and Chen Kaixi swooped in just in time to defend their friend and put him in his place. Go, girls!
Then, just as the ceremony was about to kick off, BAM! Major interruption. Li Wei'an stormed in, not to object to the marriage, but to publicly demand her son back. Oof. Sadly, the crowd totally misread the situation, assuming she was just after more money and that her dramatic display would only alienate her son in the future.
After the wedding chaos, Luo Man was discussing the whole Li Wei'an spectacle. She felt it was incredibly unfair how Li Wei'an was dragged away looking disheveled while the groom was ushered offstage surrounded by supporters. Since Chen Mian had bailed early (shocking, I know), Chen Kaixi linked up with Luo Man and Zhong Qingcheng, planning for a girls' night exit. Just then, Zhong Qingcheng's charming ex-boyfriend reappeared. Given that he had also sided with the groom during Li Wei'an's outburst, Luo Man cooked up a little revenge scheme.
And it was brilliant! Zhong Qingcheng put on her best damsel-in-distress act and lured her ex in. He totally fell for it. After dinner, she led him to the restroom, pretending things were about to get steamy. Just as he was getting ready, Luo Man and Chen Kaixi burst in, yelling about catching a "pervert," and proceeded to give the ex a piece of their minds (and maybe a few shoves?) before locking him in the bathroom. High fives all around for the ladies! But, as they were making their triumphant exit, feeling pretty pleased with themselves, Luo Man spotted Zhou Musun... talking with Yu Qiaoqiao. Awkward! The episode ends right there, leaving us wondering what's next for our favorite couple.
