"Dear Enemy" Episode 6 Recap & Spoilers: When Elevators Become Beauty Salons and Hospitals Get Awkward

Alright, so Episode 6 kicks off with Zhong Qingchengtrying to nail an audition. The first one she walks into? Total sketch-fest. She wisely decides to bail. But, as luck would have it, just as she's in the elevator, another director calls with a new audition opportunity. Thinking on her feet and wanting to make a killer first impression, Qingcheng decides the elevator is the perfect spot for a quick makeup session. Naturally, the doors slide open mid-powder, and she gets some seriously judgy looks. But does our girl care? Nope. She struts out of there like she owns the place. You gotta love the confidence!

Meanwhile, Luo Manis trying to enjoy a movie night with Wu Hao . All good, right? Wrong. She spots Zhou Musunwith a very glamorous lady friend. Luo Man plays it cool on the surface, but you just know that stung a little. After the movie, some industry folks try to rope Luo Man into a party. Just then, who pops up but Zhou Musun himself! Luo Man, probably seeing a chance, ditches the party to chat with him. But, because this is a drama, her phone rings. It's Chen Kaixi , and it's an emergency – her kiddo had an accident while they were out. While Luo Man is on the call, Zhou Musun, smooth as ever, slips away with his date. Luo Man sees this, and yeah, she's definitely fuming a bit on the inside, but priorities, right? She and Wu Hao zoom off to the hospital.

At the hospital, Chen Kaixi is a wreck, mostly terrified that her husband, Chen Mian , is going to blame her for not watching the child closely enough. As Luo Man rushes through the hospital, still on the phone trying to find Chen Kaixi, she literally bumps into a doctor carrying meds. Classic.

When Luo Man finally meets up with Chen Kaixi, she learns that Chen Mian’s super-smart cousin, Fang Chi , is a doctor at this very hospital. And guess who Fang Chi turns out to be? Yep, the doctor Luo Man just collided with. Talk about awkward! Chen Kaixi, oblivious to their little run-in, introduces them, and let's just say the conversation between Luo Man and Fang Chi is dripping with sarcasm. Even Chen Kaixi picks up on the weird vibes.

To shield Chen Kaixi from Chen Mian's potential wrath, Luo Man suggests a little white lie. The problem? The child's English tutor saw the whole accident unfold, so a simple lie won't cut it. Luo Man then advises Chen Kaixi to try and get the tutor on her side, but Chen Kaixi is suspicious that Chen Mian might actually be having an affair with this very tutor. Juicy, right?

Luo Man, ever the resourceful friend, has already bribed Chen Mian’s assistant to get his schedule. Knowing they have a bit of time before he gets home, she goes into full detective mode, helping Chen Kaixi analyze the tutors. Luo Man wants to figure out if this supposed affair started before or after the tutor was hired into their home, because that makes a huge difference in how much sway the tutor might have with Chen Mian.

Her master plan? Chen Kaixi should call Chen Mian first, tell him about the kid's injury, and then strategically set things up to pin all the blame on the English tutor. Chen Kaixi is hesitant at first, not wanting to drag her child into the mess. But the thought of a divorce and another woman raising her kid? That pushes her to agree to Luo Man’s scheme.

When Chen Mian finally rushes home, he goes straight to see his injured son. But here’s the twist: Chen Kaixi doesn't go through with Luo Man's elaborate plan. Instead, she owns up to her mistake, admitting she was distracted by a text message when the child got hurt. While checking on his son, Chen Mian casually asks if he likes his English teacher, "Amy jiejie" .

Later, Chen Kaixi, expecting an earful, is met with...comfort? Chen Mian doesn't blame her at all. However, he doesn't stick around long, making an excuse to leave again. Chen Kaixi doesn't press him to stay.

The episode winds down with Chen Kaixi and Luo Man sharing drinks and a heart-to-heart. Chen Kaixi is understandably confused about her life, wondering how many other women are after her husband and feeling like she and Chen Mian are slowly turning into enemies. Luo Man ends up staying the night at Chen Kaixi's, and for a little while, it’s like they’re back in their student days, just two friends navigating the chaos.
