Plot Synopsis

This series, adapted from a novel byPeng Lai Ke, dives into the story of Xiao Qiao and Wei Shao. Now, these two don't exactly have a meet-cute. Think more like a "meet-feud"—a really,reallydeepone. Turns out, Xiao Qiao's grandfather made a call back in the day—a battlefield retreat—that ended upgetting Wei Shao's grandfather and father killed. Yeah, we're talking generations of bad blood here.

Fast forward fourteen years, and Wei Shao, who somehow survived that whole ordeal, is now a grown man leading his army right to the gates of Yanzhou. Everyone thinks he's there for some good old-fashioned revenge, and honestly, who could blame him? But here’s the twist: his real goal is to rebuild the Yongning Canal. Our girl, Xiao Qiao, is sharpenough to figure out his true intentions. So, what does she do?
