Episode Summary
Xu Zhi has a minor injury, and Chen Luzhou helps her, later giving her a helmet from Yan Letong. A humorous misunderstanding arises when Xu Zhi discusses a patient of her father's (a urologist), unknowingly describing Chen Luzhou's own medical situation. At their hotel, they are mistaken for paparazzi by security but are helped by Gu Yan, who clearly has feelings for Chen Luzhou, much to Xu Zhi's observation. Injuries, Apologies, and a Prized Helmet
The episode kicks off with Chen Luzhou taking Xu Zhi to the infirmary after a mishap.Luckily, Xu Zhi only suffered some scrapes and heads off on her own.As Chen Luzhou is about to leave, Lu Yang shows up to apologize to Xu Zhi.Shortly after, Yan Letong appears, chatting with Chen Luzhou about Xu Zhi's performance in a race and hands over a helmet for Chen Luzhou to give her, boasting it's signed by a "future Grand Slam champion."
Later, Chen Luzhou calls Xu Zhi to ask about the incident.Xu Zhi admits that Lu Yang's apology was secondary; her main goal was to get Lu Yang's prize money.Chen Luzhou teasingly asks if it's raining on her end.Xu Zhi says no, but then the skies open up, prompting her to call him a jinx, though thankfully, she has an umbrella.
Hotel Hijinks and Awkward Gifts
Our group checks into a hotel, and Xu Zhi notices people filming, confirming rumors that a film crew is also staying there.After overeating, Xu Zhi needs some digestive pills.Chen Luzhou tells her to come with him, as he has some and something else for her.In his room, he gives her the pills and then presents the helmet from Yan Letong, relaying that Yan Letong was incredibly impressed by Xu Zhi's "lean angle" during the race.
Xu Zhi still owes Chen Luzhou a joke and shares a "fresh" story instead: a young patient at her father's clinic is having... well, "male problems."As she describes the situation, Chen Luzhou realizes with dawning horror that the patient sounds suspiciously like him.He asks if her father is a urologist, and Xu Zhi confirms.The penny drops – it is him.
Paparazzi Problems and a Surprising Savior
Mortified, Chen Luzhou tries to play it cool when Xu Zhi asks what's wrong, insisting he's perfectly fine.Suddenly, hotel security bursts in, accusing them of being paparazzi trying to sneak photos of the film crew, especially since they have "such good equipment."Chen Luzhou explains their situation, and it becomes clear it's all a big misunderstanding.
He clarifies they are there to film a racing team and had informed the front desk they were a "production team."It seems the hotel mistakenly assigned their rooms within the film crew's block.Security remains skeptical, thinking their story is fabricated.Just then, Gu Yan, who is part of the film crew, steps in.She mentions who Chen Luzhou's parents are, suggesting that if it's a genuine mistake, they shouldn't be hassled.
Jealous Glances and Unlucky Temple Visits
Zhu Yangqi, having seen Chen Luzhou's social media post about the trip, rushes over with friends, arriving right as the security guards are leaving.Xu Zhi thanks Gu Yan, but Gu Yan coolly replies she wasn't trying to help her.Zhu Yangqi and the others quickly pull Xu Zhi away.Cai Yingying explains to Xu Zhi that it's common knowledge Gu Yan has a huge crush on Chen Luzhou.Zhu Yangqi clarifies that it's one-sided; Chen Luzhou doesn't have a girlfriend.Xu Zhi then realizes Gu Yan is the girl from the text message she saw previously.
Xu Zhi buys milk tea for everyone, but Gu Yan has already left, so she gives all the drinks to Chen Luzhou.Remembering Gu Yan's earlier help, Chen Luzhou suggests they thank her together.During this interaction, Gu Yan bluntly asks Chen Luzhou if he likes Xu Zhi.Xu Zhi stays silent.Gu Yan then presses Chen Luzhou, asking if Xu Zhi likes him, to which Chen Luzhou retorts it's none of her business.Later, Zhu Yangqi wants to go exploring, but Xu Zhi and Cai Yingying decline, saying they've planned a temple visit because they've been feeling unlucky lately.Chen Luzhou mentions a nearby place, Nanyin Temple, which is supposedly quite famous.
However, upon visiting Nanyin Temple, Xu Zhi and Cai Yingying discover it's dedicated to a "Child-Giving Guanyin" (Goddess of Fertility), which leaves Xu Zhi feeling rather frustrated when she recounts the experience to her father.
Medical Misunderstandings and Market Mayhem
Meanwhile, Chen Luzhou has a follow-up appointment with Xu Zhi's father (the urologist), who tells him to take back a "red envelope" (a monetary gift, often given to doctors).When Chen Luzhou comes out, Zhu Yangqi asks how it went, and Chen Luzhou explains what happened.Coincidentally, Cai Yingying's father overhears their conversation and later clarifies to Xu Zhi's father that the whole situation with Chen Luzhou was a misunderstanding.
Later, Xu Zhi and Cai Yingying are working at their street stall when a customer, who has brought different women with him on several occasions, starts causing trouble after Xu Zhi calls him out.Chen Luzhou steps in and drives the troublesome customer away.To lighten the mood or perhaps as a thank you, Xu Zhi starts giving Chen Luzhou a manicure.Just at that moment, Chen Luzhou's mother arrives with a group of people, apparently looking for "news" (hinting she might be a journalist or in media), and sees the two of them.
