A Desperate Alliance and a Growing Suspicion
The episode kicks off with detectives Qin Yang and Sun Mou tracking down Wang Guocheng. The moment he spots Qin Yang, Wang Guocheng panics and flees, dropping the food he was carrying. Despite his bad leg, he makes a run for it, but Qin Yang quickly catches up. Pinned down, Wang Guocheng swears he hasn't seen Li Xiulan, passionately defending her and her family as good people who have never done anything wrong.
