Episode Summary
Episode 24 sees Liu Jun in Macau, warned against gambling by Lin Yue, who reveals his own addiction. Back home, reforms are coming to Tengfei. Qian Hongying suspects her brother's infidelity and tries to make his wife a cashier, but Cui Bingbing stops her. Finally, Liu Jun uses his own money to save the "Dongfang Yihao" project from a payment delay, risking his finances.

Following Qian Hongming's advice, Liu Jun heads to Macau alone to clear his head. Despite Cui Bingbing's warnings to stay away from gambling, he finds himself drawn to the allure of the Lihao Entertainment City. Just as he's about to be swept away, Lin Yue surprisingly appears and sternly warns him to stay out of the casino, even using the consequence of a broken family as a cautionary tale.
Liu Jun is baffled by this, wondering why his rival would suddenly offer such sincere advice. Suspecting an ulterior motive, he insists on going in. Lin Yue then pretends to call Song Yunhui to report him, a bluff that startles Liu Jun. After Lin Yue leaves, Liu Jun calls Lin Chuan and learns the truth: Lin Yue has a severe gambling addiction, which was a major reason for his divorce. This revelation changes Liu Jun's opinion of Lin Yue, and he feels a sense of gratitude for the intervention.
Later, An Xinhua contacts Liu Jun, informing him that the group is undergoing major reforms and that audits will become routine. He advises Liu Jun to simply focus on his technological research and development. The story then jumps to 2006, where Tengfei is facing new opportunities, but the renovation of Liu Jun and Cui Bingbing's new home is repeatedly delayed by his demanding work schedule.
Meanwhile, trouble is brewing in the Qian family. Just before the Spring Festival, Qian Hongying discovers a secret phone in her brother Qian Hongming's belongings, suspecting he's having an affair. To keep his marriage intact, she persuades his wife, Shen Jiali, to take a job as the company's cashier. A panicked Qian Hongming asks Liu Jun for help, claiming he's worried the financial stress of the job will cause Shen Jiali to relapse into her old stock-trading anxiety. However, Cui Bingbing suspects the real reason is that he doesn't want his wife becoming more independent, which would interfere with his philandering.
At a group dinner, Liu Jun tries to gently talk Shen Jiali out of the job, but Qian Hongying has anticipated all his arguments. Seeing her husband in a difficult position, Cui Bingbing steps in. Using her professional expertise, she vividly describes the tedious and confrontational nature of being a cashier, successfully convincing Shen Jiali to turn down the position herself.
The episode concludes with a new crisis. An Xinhua apologizes for a major payment delay due to the company's restructuring, leaving the factory in a tight spot. Faced with this challenge, Liu Jun makes a bold decision: he will use his own money to pay for the shipment and ensure the "Dongfang Yihao" project continues, placing an enormous financial burden on himself.
