However, a complicated family dynamic has forced him to mature beyond his years, causing him to project an image of being aloof and rebellious. He becomes a key ally to Qiao Qingyu, helping her investigate the truth behind her sister's death and remaining a quiet, steadfast presence by her side.

Wu You as Qiao Beiyu
Qiao Beiyu is the deceased older sister of the series' protagonist, Qiao Qingyu. Her sudden and mysterious death, which occurred six years before the main storyline begins, is the central catalyst for the plot. The family is tormented by rumors surrounding her death, forcing them to relocate to a new city.While the parents claim she died of appendicitis, rumors in their old hometown suggest she died from AIDS.
The narrative revolves around her younger sister, Qiao Qingyu, who is determined to uncover the truth behind what she believes was a "murder" orchestrated by the entire village. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Qiao Beiyu endured significant injustice and her death is shrouded in secrets, particularly involving a complex and dark relationship with her cousin, Qiao Jinrui. Qiao Beiyu's character is primarily seen in flashbacks, which gradually piece together the circumstances leading to her tragic end.

Huang Xiyan as Qiao Jinrui
Portrayed by actor Huang Xiyan, Qiao Jinrui is the eldest grandson of the Qiao family. He is the older paternal cousin of the series' protagonist, Qiao Qingyu. As an important member of the family, he supports and helps Qiao Qingyu when she faces difficulties.

Liu Dan as Li Fanghao
Li Fanghao is the mother of the drama's protagonist, Qiao Qingyu. Following the death of her older daughter, Qiao Beiyu, Li Fanghao's world is plunged into darkness. She must navigate her own grief while grappling with the heavy burden of protecting her remaining daughter, Qingyu, from the painful truth and societal rumors surrounding the tragedy.
Forced to appear strong and composed, she is a mother who has become cautious and fearful due to past trauma and the pressure of cruel gossip. Her relationship with Qingyu becomes strained as the young girl begins to investigate her sister's death, creating a deep conflict between a mother's instinct to protect and the need to confront a devastating past. Liu Dan's portrayal captures the complex and heart-wrenching struggle of a mother caught between love, fear, and the search for justice.

Wang Yidi as Wang Mumu
Wang Mumu is a senior at the same school as the main character, Qiao Qingyu. When Qingyu is at her lowest point, struggling with the aftermath of her sister's mysterious death and the emotional turmoil it has caused her family, Mumu steps in to help her. She uses dance as a way to help Qingyu regain her confidence and find an outlet for her emotions. Mumu becomes a supportive friend to Qingyu, encouraging her to persevere and stay true to herself.

Chen Xixu as Qiao Lusheng
Qiao Lusheng is the father of the three Qiao siblings. He and his wife run a handmade noodle shop. Following the death of his eldest daughter, Qiao Beyu, and the subsequent bullying and ridicule the family endures, he moves his family away to start a new life. He is characterized as a father filled with regret over the past events.
