The episode kicks off with Tang Xin and Han Yuhang tied up together. Confused, Tang Xin asks Han Yuhang why he was following her, and he's forced to admit it was because of her investigation into a cultural relics smuggling case. Her sudden disappearance has her boss, Director Tian, and his assistant on edge. With the local police on the Roman Islands being uncooperative, Director Tian has no choice but to ask Ah Hai, who traveled with Tang Xin, to conduct the search himself, keeping the news from her concerned family. Meanwhile, Han Yuhang's brother, Han Changzhou, is also frantically searching for his younger brother, completely unaware that he's been captured while trying to save Tang Xin.
In a seemingly separate storyline, Lan Yangyang, who is pregnant, has recovered her spirits and is back to live-streaming. She hosts a session recommending makeup products that are safe for expectant mothers. Distracted and flustered during the broadcast, she doesn't notice some cosmetics that have fallen on the floor. Later, as she's about to rest, she slips on them and takes a hard fall.
The two plots begin to merge when a naval escort fleet receives a request from the International Maritime Bureau to rescue a cargo ship hijacked by pirates. Brigade Commander Wang tasks Wu Si with the mission. Since the pirates have already boarded and likely taken hostages, Wu Si and his special forces team must board the vessel in secret. Unbeknownst to them, this is the very ship where Tang Xin and Han Yuhang are being held. Hearing gunshots on the deck, the human traffickers holding them captive flee, leaving the pair to fend for themselves. Tang Xin and Han Yuhang manage to untie their ropes and begin to look for a way out.
Under the cover of night, Wu Si's team stealthily boards the ship, taking out lone pirates one by one. However, one of the assault teams is discovered, and a firefight erupts, alerting all the pirates on board. As Wu Si's team engages the enemy, Tang Xin and Han Yuhang hear the chaos and start to panic, desperately searching for an escape route. The pirates use their knowledge of the ship to their advantage, but Wu Si's team deploys smoke grenades, allowing them to close the distance and eliminate the hostiles, successfully rescuing the crew.
Just when everyone thinks the danger has passed, a lone surviving pirate finds Tang Xin and Han Yuhang and takes them hostage. Tang Xin is terrified, but her fear subsides when she sees Wu Si. In a moment of perfect, unspoken coordination, they manage to overpower and kill the pirate. During the confrontation, the pirate's grenade detonates, injuring team member Wang Chen. Back at home, Bai Zijian is overcome with a sudden sense of unease and finds himself missing Wang Chen, watching old videos of him.
After her fall, a worried Lan Yangyang rushes to the hospital to check on her baby. Relieved to find out everything is fine, she continues her routine of visiting Lin Lan. Later, Wang Chen's mother-in-law suddenly collapses, and Lan Yangyang and Lin Lan rush her to the hospital. With Lin Lan being heavily pregnant and close to her due date, Lan Yangyang does all the running around. The episode takes another turn when Lin Lan suddenly goes into labor on the way back.
On the ship's deck, Wu Si is confronted by a frustrated Han Yuhang, who blames him for the ordeal. After waking up, Tang Xin goes to the deck and finds Wu Si standing guard. She chooses not to disturb him, watching him silently from a distance. The episode ends on a tense note as Lan Yangyang returns home, where the stress of the recent events causes her own pregnancy to become unstable.
