The episode opens with Wu Si showing his concern for a teammate, taking Cheng Yuan to see a doctor for a knee injury sustained during training. At the hospital, he has a pleasant and unexpected encounter with Tang Xin's father.

Meanwhile, Tang Xin finds herself in a dangerous situation. After parking her car, she notices a group of menacing men searching for her vehicle. Her suspicions are confirmed when her father calls. Forced to speak in hushed tones as she tracks the men, her tense voice is overheard by Wu Si, who is still with her father. Recalling a group of suspicious individuals from the elevator earlier, Wu Si immediately senses trouble and rushes to the parking garage. He arrives just in time to find the men smashing Tang Xin's car while she bravely records the act on her phone. Wu Si steps in, handily taking down the thugs.

The incident leaves Tang Xin deeply unsettled. She can't shake the feeling that Wu Si is the same man who rescued her in the past, though she struggles to know if it's real or just wishful thinking. The news of the attack reaches her boss, Director Tian, who expresses his concern for her safety. He reminds her that her work, which involves exposing powerful and corrupt individuals, has made her a target for revenge.

In a contrasting storyline, Zong Qing and Lan Yangyang are on a date, but the mood is soured by Lan Yangyang's career frustrations. A high-scoring medical school graduate, she has no passion for the field and is struggling to find a job she wants. Zong Qing offers his encouragement. Later, Lan Yangyang's spirits sink further after a failed job interview where her lack of industry knowledge becomes apparent.

Unbeknownst to her, Zong Qing is planning to propose. On his way to meet her, he heroically jumps into the water to save a drowning child, ruining his suit in the process. He arrives soaking wet, much to Lan Yangyang's confusion. Just as he begins his proposal, onlookers who witnessed his brave act return his flowers. He gets down on one knee, but in a moment of awkwardness, realizes the engagement ring is gone, likely lost in the sea during the rescue. However, when Lan Yangyang hears about his selfless actions, she is incredibly moved. Overlooking the missing ring and his disheveled appearance, she happily accepts his proposal, cheered on by the crowd.

Concerned for Tang Xin's safety after the attack, Wu Si calls her. She reveals that her computer has also been tampered with. The two decide to team up and investigate a new lead together over the weekend. As they rent a boat to head to their destination, they spot a suspicious vehicle watching them. On the boat, they find they work well together, discussing the case of stolen national artifacts as they venture out to sea.
