Episode Summary
In this episode, Shen Ruchun loses her standing while Gao Yue confronts her family's corruption, causing her sister Gao Ying to reflect on her own choices. Xia Mo and Tang Zhenyun discover Tang Boju's body, strengthening their resolve for justice. Xia Mo sets a plan in motion that successfully uses a ledger to expose Gao Susheng's crimes to Commander Zhao Jin, leading to Gao Susheng's swift and total downfall.

"Rosefinch" Episode 24: The Fall of a Patriarch
With Gao Yue's rise to fame, Shen Ruchun finds herself without her protector, forced to live in a crowded room with the other girls. Facing their questions and accusations, Shen Ruchun is suffering in silence. Li Huimin steps in to stop the infighting, urging everyone to put aside their grievances and unite. She insists they must work together to find a way to get out of this place alive.
Meanwhile, the Gao family gathers for a promotional family photograph. Gao Yue, disgusted by her family's hypocrisy, openly mocks her father. Later, Gao Ying tries to persuade Gao Yue to leave Shanghai for her safety and go abroad, but Gao Yue flatly refuses. She questions her sister's decision to become the new gang leader, fearing she will end up just like their father, Gao Susheng. Hearing her younger sister declare her intention to control her own destiny deeply moves Gao Ying.
As stock prices soar, Zhang Qi, the new president of the Zhabei Chamber of Commerce, publicly buys in, sparking a city-wide frenzy. Observing the public's frantic rush to buy stocks, Xia Mo and Tang Zhenyun are filled with mixed emotions. Recalling Yang Zezhi's instructions, they decide to wait before making a move. They successfully locate a secret residence and follow Gao Fei's vehicle to a remote riverbank. There, they witness the horrifying sight of Tang Boju's body being dumped into the river.
Devastated by the sight of Tang Boju's body, Tang Zhenyun is overcome with grief. Xia Yingqi arrives to comfort her, reminiscing about their shared childhood. His words help Tang Zhenyun regain her strength, solidifying her resolve to find the person responsible. In parallel, Xia Mo returns to the Red Moon House and calls Zhang Zhiqiu. He instructs him to deliver a torn page from a ledger to Commander Zhao Jin, a move designed to drive a wedge between the commander and Gao Susheng.
Upon seeing the ledger, which proves Gao Susheng embezzled military funds and falsified accounts, Commander Zhao Jin is enraged. As a result, Gao Susheng's power completely collapses. His study is searched by Song Shi, and former allies, including the Zhabei Chamber of Commerce, sever all ties with him.
