Han Li, accompanied by the puppet Qu Hun, arrives in the bustling city of Jiayuan. After settling into an inn, he learns from a talkative waiter that someone claiming to be Physician Mo's final disciple is set to marry one of the Mo family's daughters. More importantly, the legendary Warm Sun Treasure Jade, which Han Li desperately needs to counteract his poison, is part of the dowry.

Realizing he must act quickly, Han Li leaves Qu Hun at the inn and heads directly to the Mo family estate. There, he boldly announces that he is the true final disciple of Physician Mo, presenting a personal letter from the late doctor as proof. He is soon introduced to the family's matriarchs and the three daughters: Mo Yuzhu, Mo Fengwu, and Mo Caihuan. As the sisters lead him to a guest room, he overhears them discussing their father's wish for one of them to marry his disciple. Han Li, focused solely on his mission, quickly clarifies that he has no such intentions.

Meanwhile, the Mo family matriarchs discover a secret message within the letter, one that requires spiritual energy to be revealed. The message confirms Physician Mo's death. Han Li, whose poison is flaring up with increasing frequency as his antidote supply dwindles, manages to eavesdrop but cannot hear all the details. His need for the Warm Sun Treasure Jade has become a matter of life and death.

The following day, the Mo family confronts Han Li. He confesses to killing Physician Mo but insists it was an act of self-defense against his master's betrayal. Seeing an opportunity in Han Li's formidable skills, the family's matriarch strikes a deal: they will give him the Warm Sun Treasure Jade, but only after he eliminates their rivals. With no other choice, Han Li agrees.

His first target is a notorious villain named Ouyang Feitian. Han Li confirms the man's evil reputation and confronts him. Ouyang Feitian, also a cultivator, attempts to bargain for his life by offering a map to Tainan Valley, a place rumored to be a gathering spot for cultivators.Han Li is unmoved; he kills Ouyang Feitian and takes the map.

Stunned by his swift success, which throws their own plans into disarray, the Mo family gives him a second target. As Han Li carries out their deadly errands, rumors spread throughout Jiayuan City about the Mo family's powerful new prospective son-in-law. During this time, he returns to the inn to retrieve Qu Hun and brings the silent puppet back with him to the Mo residence.

However, upon his return, the Mo family betrays him. They refuse to hand over the Warm Sun Treasure Jade. Instead, they offer him a choice of their daughters in marriage and control of the family's vast business enterprises, hoping to bind him to them as their permanent protector. Han Li flatly refuses, demanding the jade he was promised. The matriarchs then play their final card, revealing they know about his poison. They issue an ultimatum: stay and serve them, or leave and die. As the tense standoff reaches its peak, Han Li's poison overwhelms him, and he collapses.
