Episode Summary
In this episode, Liu Yan wins a competition and is promoted to sous chef. She receives guidance from the renowned chef Jiang Fang, who also encourages He Sheng to develop his own cooking style. The celebratory mood is shattered when a mysterious birthday cake causes the restaurant staff to fall ill, while Lu Tianchi realizes Tang Shuangshuang is in grave danger and leaves to find her.

Grateful for his team's hard work, He Sheng decides to add two new exquisite dishes to the menu. He also announces that a new sous chef will be appointed soon. The news causes a stir, and many colleagues privately congratulate Kuan Tai, believing his promotion is a sure thing. However, amidst the celebration, one person secretly takes a photo of the new menu and sends it to a mysterious contact.
The next day, while doing a live stream, Liu Yan is surprised to see Tang Shuangshuang, who has transformed into a popular online influencer.
Liu Yan receives an urgent call from Mr. Luo and rushes to the restaurant. She patiently teaches the elderly man how to cook. The two work together seamlessly, chatting happily and forming a close bond, much like a granddaughter and her grandfather.

Meanwhile, Jiang Fang, who is making progress in overcoming her gambling addiction, accompanies Lu Tianchi on his door-to-door visits. Fearing the worst, he tells Liu Yan he must leave immediately to find her.
Shortly after, the staff who ate the birthday cake, including Juan Mao and others, suffer from severe diarrhea and stomach pain. Liu Yan and He Sheng rush to the hospital to see them, suspecting the cake was the cause. The episode reveals that three days prior, Tang Shuangshuang's live stream was cut short by a power outage. When she went to find her boyfriend, they argued, and he brutally beat her.
