Spoiler Alert

The episode opens with Lu Tianchi and Li Zan anxiously trying to make a phone call. Their worry turns to relief when Liu Yan walks out from a film set, completely unharmed. Li Zan is so overcome with emotion that he instinctively calls her "sister."

On the way home, however, Li Zan notices a large sum of money in Liu Yan's bag, and his suspicion is immediately piqued. Liu Yan avoids his questions and drops him off at school. Later, she secretly meets with Lu Tianchi to discuss writing a will. She reveals that she has agreed to a dangerous boxing match against a formidable opponent known as "The Beast" for Mr. Luo. Her conditions are that if she is killed in the ring, Jiang Fang's debt will be forgiven, and all the prize money will go to Li Zan. Moved by her selflessness for a non-blood relative, Mr. Luo agrees. Seeing her determination, Lu Tianchi agrees to help her with the will.

That night, Li Zan confronts Lu Tianchi, guessing that his sister must be doing something illicit like being a mistress or selling a kidney to get so much money. Lu Tianchi doesn't reveal the truth and just tells him to focus on school.

Meanwhile, Li Zan secretly records his conversation with Lu Tianchi and plays an edited version for Liu Yan. Hearing it, she mistakenly believes Lu Tianchi has betrayed her confidence and storms out to confront him. Lu Tianchi quickly realizes what's happened and warns her that she's fallen into her brother's trap. Just then, a woman arrives for a photoshoot with Lu Tianchi, and an embarrassed Liu Yan quickly leaves.

Back home, Liu Yan begins training in earnest, using winter melons in her yard to devise a strategy to defeat the powerful "Beast" with a single, decisive blow. Desperate, Li Zan begs Lu Tianchi to talk her out of it. Instead, Lu Tianchi sees Liu Yan practicing alone on the street and, moved by her resolve, decides to help her train. The match soon becomes the talk of the town, with everyone placing bets.

Lu Tianchi tries to bribe Mr. Luo's assistant to let Liu Yan forfeit the match but is brutally beaten for his efforts. Undeterred, he takes all his personal savings and pays off a small portion of the debt himself. When Liu Yan sees his injuries, he lies, claiming he just tried a practice match.

In a last-ditch effort, Li Zan borrows a motorcycle, planning to injure "The Beast" so the fight will be called off. Liu Yan discovers his plan and stops him just in time, a moment that deepens their sibling bond. The next day, Lu Tianchi arranges for a boat, telling them he's sending them both away to safety. A happy Li Zan boards, only to realize he's been tricked as the boat pulls away from the dock, leaving Liu Yan behind to face her fate in the ring. As the boat sails further away, Li Zan's pleas to the boatman are useless; he was paid by Lu Tianchi and won't turn back. All Li Zan can do is cry, terrified his sister will be killed.
