Gao Rui survives a near-fatal car accident thanks to Lin Zhihua's quick thinking. At a party celebrating her academic success, Gu Xuejiao tries to prevent Yi Dafa's future bankruptcy by warning him against a bad investment, while a love triangle between her, Lin Zhihua, and a jealous Yi Tianyu culminates in a chaotic water fight. The episode kicks off with high tension as Gao Rui, ignoring Lin Zhihua's warnings, proceeds with a dangerous vehicle test. As predicted, the car's speed quickly spirals out of control. Lin Zhihua rushes to the scene and manages to take over the system remotely, trying to guide a panicked Gao Rui through the crisis. Despite his efforts, Gao Rui slams on the brakes, sending the car into a spin before it crashes violently into a tire wall.
At the hospital, a shaken Lin Zhihua waits anxiously outside the operating room. He is haunted by a memory from a different timeline where he received the devastating news of Gao Rui's death in the very same spot. Relief finally washes over him when the doctor emerges to announce that the surgery was a success and Gao Rui is out of danger.
A few days later, Gao Rui is discharged in a wheelchair, a situation Lin Zhihua correctly suspects is an exaggeration orchestrated by Gu Xuejiao. To expose the ruse, Lin Zhihua playfully threatens Gao Rui with a fire extinguisher he claims is filled with flammable material. The prank works perfectly, as a terrified Gao Rui leaps out of the chair and tries to run away.
The mood shifts to a lively party celebrating Gu Xuejiao's excellent exam results, complete with a congratulatory banner from Yi Dafa. During the celebration, Gu Xuejiao learns that Yi Dafa intends to invest in a film by an actress named Tang Jingjing. Remembering that this exact investment led to his bankruptcy in her previous life, she urgently tells Yi Tianyu to warn his father against the deal. The party sees more drama when Lin Zhihua arrives with a unique housewarming gift: two fire extinguishers, a clever play on words for "booming success" .
Throughout the party, Yi Tianyu grows increasingly jealous as he watches the warm interactions between Lin Zhihua and Gu Xuejiao. He tries to capture her attention by playing his guitar, but his jealousy boils over when he sees Lin Zhihua gently wipe some barbecue sauce from Gu Xuejiao's hand. In a fit of pique, Yi Tianyu starts a water fight with a water gun, a silly provocation that soon has everyone joining in the fun. Amid the chaos, Gu Xuejiao feels a deep sense of gratitude for her "reborn" youth, realizing how much her life has been enriched by these friendships. Later, Lin Zhihua gives her his personal high school study notes, which she eagerly dives into that night.
Meanwhile, Yi Tianyu's warning, combined with a series of strange events—including a suddenly canceled flight—makes Yi Dafa reconsider the risky investment. In a comedic subplot, his ride-share to the airport is driven by Gu Xuejiao's father, and they have to turn back after realizing they left all his luggage on the curb.
The episode's climax unfolds at a tense basketball game between rival schools. When Gu Mingze is injured, his team is left without a substitute player. Gu Xuejiao seizes the opportunity to push a reluctant Yi Tianyu, who has been neglecting basketball to focus on his studies, to join the game. Annoyed by Gu Xuejiao's growing popularity, a rival student, Lin Xiao, decides to teach her a lesson. She takes a pack of cigarettes from another student, Zhou Shiyun, and plants it in Gu Xuejiao's bag. However, her scheme is immediately thwarted by Lin Zhihua, who arrived to fetch Gu Xuejiao for a tutoring session and witnessed the entire act. He reports Lin Xiao and Zhou Shiyun to Director Fu, leaving the two troublemakers to face serious disciplinary action.
