Episode Summary
Liao Tingyan and Sima Jiao grow closer, sharing a kiss after she discovers her new astral projection abilities. This pushes a heartbroken Feng Qi to ally with the State Preceptor, who plans to use Liao Tingyan to kill Sima Jiao. Liao Tingyan finally gets a moment to herself. She finds a pool where the water feels just like a hot spring. She gets in for a bath. This is the first time she has felt relaxed in a very long time. For eighteen years, she lived under Shi Qianlu's thumb. He constantly pushed her to get revenge. She never had a single day of peace. Now, living with Sima Jiao, she can forget all that. She can just enjoy being a slacker.
Sima Jiao is nearby, silently watching over her.
Out-of-Body Experience
Liao Tingyan has been taking pills made from Sima Jiao's blood. Her own power has grown a lot because of it. She falls asleep in the warm water and her spirit actually leaves her body. She flies around, checking out the scenery from above. She even peeks in on Hong Luo doing her makeup.
But she wants to explore the Demon Domain. She tries to fly out of the courtyard. A barrier stops her. She tries again and fails. Then, she hears Sima Jiao's voice. He warns her that the Demon Domain is dangerous. She has to be careful. He can protect her, even when she's flying around like this.
