Spoiler Alert

A Rocky Start at Boot Camp

Awkward Crushes and Drunken Nights

A'si is staring into a mirror and can't stop smiling. She's replaying the moment Jiang Wenhuan saved her. It finally hits her. She might actually have a crush on the guy. She tries to convince herself it's just about repaying him for saving her life. Then she gets up to go find him anyway.

Jiang Wenhuan stumbles home completely drunk. An arrow suddenly thuds into his doorframe. It has a pendant and a note attached. The note is from the "little thief," saying this is a thank you gift. He thinks the pendant is just some cheap trinket and doesn't give it a second thought.

The Princes Are a Mess

Jiang Wen Feng is clearly into Gongsun Wuyu. His eyes follow her everywhere. He keeps trying to find an excuse to take care of her. But she's on high alert. She shuts down all his attempts and keeps her distance. You can see the rejection stings him.

The Emperor has ordered Jiang Wen Feng and Gongsun Wuyu to supervise the princes' training. On the first day, only two of them actually show up. The rest are holed up in their rooms. They're all gathered around a table, gambling their time away.

One for All, All in Trouble

The First Punishment

Jiang Wenhuan is right there in the middle of the gambling den. He's cheating, but he isn't slick enough. Another prince catches him. An argument explodes into a full-on brawl. During the chaos, Jiang Wenhuan stumbles and crashes right into his brother, Jiang Wen Feng.

Jiang Wen Feng is beyond disappointed. He punishes everyone for the chaos. He lays down the law. They are a team now. If one person messes up, everyone pays the price. After the punishment, they get to volunteer for jobs around the camp. The princes jump at the chance to be the head cook and stable master. Prince Yao Shu Liang steps forward. He admits he isn't great with horses, but he loves animals. He takes the job as stable master.

Unfortunate Roommates

The princes are not happy to learn they have to share rooms. Xin Jia is practically praying he doesn't get stuck with Chongyi Biao and E Shun. Of course, fate has other plans. Chongyi Biao and E Shun are assigned to the same room. The second they see each other, it's on. Xin Jia walks in and sees the room list. His face goes pale. The only good news is that Jiang Wenhuan is in the room too. That offers a little comfort.

Later that night, a loud banging at the door wakes everyone. Xin Jia is terrified. He shakes Jiang Wenhuan awake. They huddle together, too scared to open the door. Chongyi Biao gets annoyed by the noise and yanks the door open. No one is there. Just as he's about to go back to sleep, the noise starts again. They cautiously open the door and find a guy sleepwalking. He relieves himself and just wanders off.

The Great Horse Heist

A Stable Master's Worst Nightmare

The next day in class, the princes are a wreck. Some are late. Others are falling asleep at their desks. Jiang Wen Feng just gets angrier watching them. Someone passes a note to Jiang Wenhuan. His expression changes instantly. All the horses from the stable have been stolen.

Yao Shu Liang is consumed with guilt. He apologizes to everyone. He woke up to find every single war horse gone. Since they are all in this together, Jiang Wenhuan knows they have to act fast to avoid a massive punishment. He leads the princes to Qiankun Lane. It's a black market where stolen goods get sold.

Undercover at the Black Market

They need a way to get into the auction. So they come up with a plan. They decide to disguise Yao Shu Liang as a woman. He's super embarrassed, but he actually cleans up pretty well. The disguise works, and he gets inside. Then, a guard sees a bronze token in Jiang Wenhuan's hand. The guard immediately bows and ushers them inside respectfully. Jiang Wenhuan has no idea what that was about.

All Hell Breaks Loose

Inside the auction, E Shun starts bidding on the horses. He keeps raising the price by the smallest amount possible each time. He is determined to get their horses back. The bidding reaches its final moment. Jiang Wenhuan takes a deep breath and stands up. He publicly questions if the horses are even real purebreds.

His accusation gets the crowd going. Everyone starts demanding to see the horses for themselves. A man steps forward to defend the horse's lineage. He accuses Jiang Wenhuan of just trying to cause trouble. Things get tense. A fight is about to break out. Suddenly, a woman's voice yells, "Stop!" Everyone turns. It's A'si.
