The Queen of Castle: Episode 3 Recap
Alright, let's talk about this episode. Things are getting messy. Everyone is making moves, and not all of them are smart. Dong Yi Yan is under a ton of pressure, and the kids are officially showing their true colors.
The Vultures Circle
So, the episode kicks off with Dong Yi Yan barely holding it together. She goes to the hospital to see her husband, Wang Jin Tao, who is still in a coma. She has a breakdown and starts crying, which is fair. But then she pulls herself together. She promises to solve the hospital crisis within a month. She knows that even if she succeeds, Director Mo will just find another way to make her life difficult.
While she's fighting, Chen Li Xue is just falling apart. Her husband is gone, and her mother is more worried about whether she can wear high heels than about her daughter's grief. It's a rough scene. Chen Li Xue just wants her mom to leave.
The Kids Make a Nasty Alliance
Here’s where it gets ugly. Wang Qi Cheng and Wang Qi Xin have officially teamed up with Ke Yongcheng. This guy has a dream. He wants to build his own medical empire, and he plans to use the siblings to do it.
Wang Qi Xin is especially vicious. Ke Yongcheng praises her abilities, and she eats it up. Now she’s dead set on destroying the Minglang Medical City. Ke Yongcheng is thrilled, of course. He tells them he fully supports their ideas and that everyone will get rich together. Wang Qi Cheng brings up a new problem. The government is going to re-tender the artificial island project. This is bad for Dong Yi Yan, but they see it as a golden opportunity.
Dong Yi Yan's Desperate Plays
Dong Yi Yan is out there trying to salvage everything. She's hustling to get contracts signed. A contact inside the government tells her that Minglang Group needs to release some good news. Any good news will do. So, she starts holding daily press conferences to control the story.
She also makes a bold move. She bribes the hospital's vice president with a horse to get him on her side. You heard that right. A horse.
The Assassination Attempt
This is when Wang Qi Xin goes from greedy to monstrous. She sends Dong Yi Yan on a wild goose chase. While Dong Yi Yan is gone, Wang Qi Xin goes to the hospital to kill her own father. She convinces herself it's a mercy killing.
But Dong Yi Yan gets back just in time to stop her. She knows she has traitors in her circle. Her whole strategy depends on keeping Wang Jin Tao alive, even if it's just by machine. It's the only way to control public opinion and buy enough time to save the company her husband built.
The Truth Comes Out
Here's the gut punch. The vice president Dong Yi Yan bribed with a horse? He already betrayed her. He told Wang Qi Xin and her crew about Wang Jin Tao's real condition.
Armed with this information, the siblings decide to strike. They call a press conference to get ahead of the story and grab the inheritance.
The Press Conference Bomb
At the press conference, Wang Qi Cheng drops a bombshell. She announces that her father actually died two days ago. She claims someone is using despicable means to keep his body "alive." She promises to pursue legal action against whoever is responsible. Dong Yi Yan is exhausted. She can only hope the truth will eventually come out.
The Will
Then we get the reading of the will. Wang Jin Tao left all of his assets to his children. Dong Yi Yan gets one percent of the company shares. That's it.
After this, Wang Qi Cheng and her husband immediately start plotting. Their plan is to take over Minglang and then cut Ke Yongcheng out of the picture completely. Dong Yi Yan, meanwhile, tries to convince them to hold a large, but private, memorial service for their father. She argues that many important people will want to pay their respects.
