Episode Summary
Erniu turns a crisis into a major career victory with the help of her friends. While she starts a new life with Mu Ziru, Wen Zhiqiu's perfectly planned confession to Chu Shaohua is completely derailed by the sudden reappearance of Xia Chu, Shaohua's long-lost love.

Erniu Fights Back
So, the episode kicks off with things looking grim for Kang Erniu. Tian Tongdao's smear campaign is working, and he's using the press to humiliate her. It gets so bad that Erniu tries to end her life. Luckily, Chu Shaohua and Wen Zhiqiu get there just in time to save her.
Instead of hiding, they decide to face the problem head-on. They're going to hold a press conference. Mu Ziru steps up, wanting to stand by Erniu's side and publicly declare he's her boyfriend. It's a sweet moment, and Erniu is moved to tears. But Shaohua thinks Erniu needs to do this alone, and Mu Ziru respects that.
The Press Conference from Hell
The press conference begins, and Erniu lays it all out. She tells everyone how Xiao Wu sold her to a brothel to cover his gambling debts and how Shaohua saved her. Of course, there's a jerk in the crowd. A reporter named Lai Zhiming basically asks her why she didn't just kill herself.
Shaohua saw this coming. They had a strategy ready. Erniu fires right back at him, asking why he doesn't kill himself when things get tough. It's a solid comeback. Another reporter tries to shame her, but Erniu holds her ground.
Then, her allies show up. Sun Longyin stands up for her, saying she's a good person.Mei Sandu announces that his company, Jijing Hall, is hiring Erniu as their spokesperson. Even Xia Yuan comes to show his support. Erniu is overwhelmed but promises to keep fighting.
Cleaning Up the Mess
The press conference is a huge success. Erniu is suddenly in demand, with a film company offering her three movies. Tian Tongdao is furious when he finds out. He orders his men to get rid of Xiao Wu, the source of the problem. Xiao Wu tries to ask for money but gets threatened into leaving for Tianjin.
His trip doesn't go as planned. Mu Ziru's men intercept him. The rickshaw driver taking him to the station was part of a setup. The message is loud and clear: stay away from Erniu.
New Beginnings and Big Plans
With her name cleared, Erniu's career skyrockets. A new product made for her, Bingyu Cream, sells out instantly. Seeing this, Xia Yuan encourages Wen Zhiqiu to finally tell Chu Shaohua how he feels. Zhiqiu is hesitant. He thinks Shaohua is still hung up on someone from her past.
Meanwhile, Mu Ziru buys a house and asks Erniu to move in with him. Shaohua is worried about Erniu getting involved with someone from the Green Gang, but Erniu believes he's the real deal and decides to go for it. As she leaves, she tells Shaohua to give Zhiqiu a chance.
Zhiqiu decides to go big for his confession. He gets a prop master to build intricate models of pharmacies he wants to open with Shaohua across the country. He even has a model of a home for them.
An Unexpected Reunion
Just as all this is happening, someone else returns to Shanghai. It's Xia Chu, back from France.He's now a university teacher.
Zhiqiu sets the stage for his big moment. He asks Shaohua to meet him at a restaurant. Shaohua arrives on time, but as she walks in, she sees him. Xia Chu. He's just as shocked to see her, since he thought she died falling from a cliff. Zhiqiu comes downstairs to see what the holdup is and finds them staring at each other. The timing is just brutal.
The Fiancé Ploy
To make things even more awkward, a woman named Zhou Jieru shows up and introduces herself as Xia Chu's girlfriend. Thinking fast, Shaohua grabs Zhiqiu's arm and introduces him as her fiancé. She makes an excuse and pulls him upstairs.
Zhiqiu immediately knows something is wrong. He realizes Shaohua and Xia Chu have a serious history. He abandons his confession plan for the day, even hiding the model of their future home. Shaohua doesn't explain everything, but she asks him to keep pretending to be her fiancé whenever Xia Chu is around. And just like that, poor Zhiqiu is stuck in a fake engagement.
