Episode Summary
Liu Guobao is tricked into breaking her diet but learns a lesson about self-confidence from Sun Jiayu's speech. Tang Xiaowei finally stands up to her freeloading friends. Old Yang's attempt to spy on his son's study date is caught on camera by his wife. Dai Bing's jealousy leads him to lie to Ouyang, which backfires spectacularly. Liu Guoning gets caught with a forged signature, and the attempt to fix it with Dai Bing's help ends with Dai Bing disappearing and Liu Guoning running away from his angry father.

Diet Sabotage
Liu Guobao is still on her diet. Dai Jing and Liu Guoning decide this needs to stop. They team up for a little sabotage mission.
Their plan is simple. They take Liu Guobao to a restaurant. Liu Guoning then orders all of her favorite foods. She tries to resist. I’ll give her credit for that. But the temptation is too much, and she finally caves. Dai Jing is happy her daughter is eating again. Liu Guoning, on the other hand, is so stuffed from the mission he can barely move.
A Lesson in Confidence
Right after their meal, they run into Sun Jiaxin and his father. It turns out Sun Jiayu has a speech happening nearby. The topic is confidence. They all go to watch. Sun Jiayu is great on stage, and she looks completely sure of herself. This really hits home for Liu Guobao. She gets it now. What other people think about her appearance doesn't matter. She decides to officially give up on the diet.

Dai Bing's Terrible Plan
Dai Bing is still convinced Ouyang is trying to steal Teacher Wang. He gets a brilliant, terrible idea. He tells Liu Guobao to ask Ouyang for his birthday and hobbies. You know, for a "school project." Ouyang isn't an idiot. He knows a kid isn't asking this for herself. But Liu Guobao sticks to the story. So, Ouyang tells her his birthday is February 30th. It takes Liu Guobao a minute, but she and Dai Bing eventually figure out they were played.
Old Yang's Spy Game
Old Yang is also on high alert. His son, Shíwǔ, has become good friends with a girl named Mary. They have a sociology project that they need to work on at his house. Old Yang immediately thinks the worst. Tingting knows her husband is a paranoid mess. She schedules a swimming lesson for their other son just to get Old Yang out of the house. She tells him to give the kids some privacy.
Of course, he doesn't listen. Old Yang fakes a stomach ache to stay home. He then tries to spy on Shíwǔ and Mary, but Shíwǔ kicks him out of the room. So what does he do? He presses his ear against the door to eavesdrop. He has no idea Tingting is watching the whole sad scene on the security camera feed.
The Kids
No More Freebies
Over at the nail salon, Tang Xiaowei has a problem. Her "friend" Xinxin keeps bringing people in for free services. This time, Tang Xiaowei has had enough. She stops them on the way out. She hands them a bill. She tells them to pay up or she's calling the cops and locking the doors. Faced with a real consequence, Xinxin tells everyone to pay for their own manicures.
The Forged Signature
Liu Guoning is in trouble. He scored a 69 on a test and needs a parent to sign off on it. He’s too scared to ask his parents. So, he asks Sun Jiayu to forge his dad’s signature. She agrees, but she does it in pencil. His teacher, Ms. Li, spots it immediately. She tells him to have a parent come to the school on Monday.
Liu Xiangshang and Dai Jing are both busy, so they send the most reliable person they know. Just kidding. They send Dai Bing.
Dai Bing goes to the school but heads straight for Teacher Wang's office. He finds Ouyang there instead. He "casually" mentions that he and Teacher Wang are getting married. Teacher Wang walks in right at that moment. Ouyang congratulates her. She is furious and says Dai Bing is lying. This hurts Dai Bing's feelings, so he storms off and goes completely off the grid again.
Ms. Li is angry. She thinks Liu Guoning is deliberately causing problems. She makes him call his father. Liu Xiangshang just got home from a meeting and has to rush to the school. When he gets there and finds out what a disaster Dai Bing created, he is beyond mad. He turns to yell at his son, but Liu Guoning has already run away.
