The Kids Are Not Alright

A Fight Over a Drawing

So, Chu Yi got into a fight at school. She was quietly drawing a picture for her brother. Another kid, Xiao Jiarui, just had to see it. He got grabby, and in the struggle, the drawing ripped. Chu Yi, completely fed up, hit him. Liu Guobao jumped in to back her up. Of course, this meant all three kids and their parents got called in by the teacher.

Tingting was surprised to hear Chu Yi would hit someone, since she's usually so well-behaved. But she didn't blame her daughter. She knew Xiao Jiarui started the whole mess. Liu Xiangshang was also there for his son, Liu Guobao. He was just glad Chu Yi wasn't hurt. In the end, both families apologized to Xiao Jiarui and his mom, and that was that.

After the incident, Chu Yi had a change of heart. She went to Teacher Wang and said she didn't want to move seats anymore. Her mom and brother told her that running away from problems doesn't solve them. You have to face them head-on.

A Battle for Bragging Rights

Over with the older kids, Liu Guoning just can't stand Sun Jiayu. He challenged her to a competition to decide who gets to be the class officer. They agreed on a best-of-three deal. If he won, she'd step down. Sun Jiayu seemed pretty confident she'd win.

Later, she and her brother overheard Liu Guoning complaining about her to Bai Xiaotian. This made Sun Jiayu add a new condition. If Liu Guoning lost, he had to call her "sister" in front of the entire class. He wasn't one to back down, so he agreed. When the competition started, Sun Jiayu was good at everything. She won two games in a row, easily. Liu Guoning was totally defeated and had to call her "sister" in front of everyone.

The Adults Have Problems, Too

A Rocky Romance

Now for the grown-ups. Teacher Wang is having a rough time with her boyfriend, Dai Bing, who also happens to be Dai Jing's brother. Dai Bing actually broke up with her. He got jealous when they went to the movies and saw her chatting with another teacher, Ouyang Jun. Dai Bing felt like she didn't care about him and that there was something more going on with Ouyang Jun. They argued about it constantly.

He asked his sister, Dai Jing, for help winning her back. She completely shut him down. Dai Jing knew that if she got involved, Teacher Wang would just think Dai Bing wasn't sincere and couldn't handle his own problems. She told him he had to fix it himself.

The kids, Liu Guoning and Liu Guobao, decided to help their uncle. Liu Guobao used "needing help with homework" as an excuse to contact Teacher Wang. She knew it was about Dai Bing but still agreed to meet him. She wasn't happy that he involved the kids. To make it up to her, Dai Bing decided to take her on a trip to Aranya.
