Episode Summary
Wu Xie gets separated from the others and has a terrifying encounter with a female ghost. After reuniting, the team realizes they've been walking in circles through a "death door." They find the opposite "life door" but are immediately attacked by a Jin Po, a monster with deadly hair, and are once again saved by Zhang Qiling.

Wu Xie Goes Through It
This episode really puts Wu Xie through the wringer. He's exhausted and just wants to sit for a second. He closes his eyes. When he opens them again, Pang Zi and Zhang Qiling are gone. The whole place looks different, too. This sets off alarm bells for Wu Xie. He remembers his Third Uncle talking about something just like this. He knows he has to get moving.
A Terrifying Encounter
Wu Xie starts running. He hears a woman laughing, which is impossible since no women are on this trip. He knows it's not just in his head. The sound is crystal clear. He tries to turn around, but a woman's face is suddenly right in front of his. He's completely frozen in fear. The ghost-woman gets closer. Wu Xie has to force himself to snap out of it and just run. He scrambles through any passage he can find. Finally, he stumbles into a stone chamber, and the laughter stops.
Back Together, But Confused
Wu Xie tries to grab a bite to eat and get his energy back. That's when he sees a small, hairy creature. It looks like a Sea Monkey. He immediately remembers Zhang Qiling warning them that these things are poisonous. He knows he can't kill it, so he just tries to shoo it away. Right then, Pang Zi shows up and tries to grab the little monster, but it escapes.
The Shadow Follower
With Zhang Qiling also arriving, the three are finally reunited. Wu Xie is pretty ticked off and asks Pang Zi why they abandoned him. Pang Zi has no idea what he's talking about. He says he called for Wu Xie when they left, but Wu Xie must have been too tired to hear. Pang Zi just kept walking because he saw a shadow following them. He assumed it was Wu Xie the whole time. He's a little shocked to learn it wasn't. It's even weirder that the shadow never tried to attack him.
A New Door, A New Problem
The team realizes they've just been going in circles. They figure out they must have walked through a "death door." Wu Xie mimics combing his hair, the same action that revealed the first door. This time, they decide to find the opposite entrance. If they went through a death door, there must be a "life door." They head in that direction.
The Jin Po
This new path is just as dangerous. They quickly run into a Jin Po. This is a nasty creature with a full head of long, grey-white hair. Each strand of hair is like a super-strong rope. It can wrap people up and crush them to death. Pang Zi and Wu Xie are no match for it. They get tangled up immediately. Luckily, Zhang Qiling is there to step in and cut them free.
