Episode Summary
Han Gang wakes up and confirms Ma Shanbao is not the hit-and-run driver. Han Lie retaliates against Qi Changrong, starting a gang war. Sasa arranges a secret surgery for Cao Weier, who is then captured and tortured by Qi Changrong. Under duress, Cao Weier reveals that Qin Yu's son, Yiwei, was the driver who hit Han Gang. Lu Weide blackmails Qin Yu over his wife's death, and Tang Xuan discovers Luo Wen has been covering for Qin Yu.

The Walls Are Closing In
This episode really starts to squeeze everyone. The good news is that Han Gang is finally awake. The bad news is that his memory is a problem for just about everyone else.
Han Gang Remembers (But Not Enough)
Han Gang wakes up and his mind is clear. He and his brother Han Lie have a nice reunion. Han Lie immediately shows him a newspaper photo of Ma Shanbao. He thinks this is the guy who hit him.
But Han Gang takes one look and shuts that down. It wasn't Ma Shanbao. He says he can't quite describe the attacker's face. He just knows he would recognize the person if he saw them again. So the main suspect is cleared, and the case is wide open again.
Also, Han Gang’s head injury is causing seizures. He wants to get this new information to Tang Xuan. He finds out she's on leave, so he asks her sister, Tang Jia, to pass along the message.
Han Lie Goes on the Attack
While the cops are stuck, Han Lie decides to take action himself. He's furious that Qi Changrong tried to use explosives against him. So he sends his guys to wreck Qi Changrong’s businesses and disrupt his deals.
His father, Han Kuilong, is not happy about this. He thinks Han Lie is acting recklessly. The police don't even have proof that Qi Changrong stole the munitions. All Han Lie is doing is starting a bigger war.
Of course, Qi Changrong gets released from police custody. There just wasn't enough evidence to hold him for the old district explosion. He gets back to his territory, finds it completely trashed by Han Lie's crew, and promises to get revenge.
A Desperate Surgery and a Narrow Escape
The whole situation with Cao Weier is just gut-wrenching. He's been in a coma, and his wife Sasa is pushed to her absolute limit.
Sasa Makes a Risky Call
Qin Yu keeps calling to check on Cao Weier. Sasa finally has enough and just unloads on him. She flat-out forbids her husband from ever working for Qin Yu again. You can't really blame her.
She knows Cao Weier will die if the bullet isn't removed. So she secretly finds a doctor, Peng Ge. He agrees to perform the surgery off the books. He's risking the wrath of Qi Changrong, but he does it to repay a past kindness from Sasa.
Meanwhile, Qi Changrong is on the hunt. He shows up at Cao Weier's house, but they're already gone. He realizes Cao is injured and puts the word out. Any black-market doctor who helps him is a dead man.
Qi Changrong Gets His Man
Peng Ge gets the bullet out. Sasa is so grateful she tries to give him all the money she has, but he won't take it. She leaves to buy some food and supplies.
Just then, Cao Weier wakes up. He hears cars pulling up outside. It's Qi Changrong. He makes a break for it out the back and into the mountains. Qi's men find the still-warm bed and immediately start searching the mountain. Cao Weier tries desperately to call Qin Yu for help, but his phone won't connect.
It doesn't take long. Qi Changrong finds him. Qi blames Cao for the death of his men. But he also seems to know that Cao wasn't the one who delivered the munitions. He knows someone else was involved.
The Truth Starts to Unravel
This is where everything blows up. All the secrets people have been trying to keep buried finally come to the surface.
The Hit-and-Run Driver Is...
We finally get the full picture of the accident. Qin Yu notices someone digging through their trash. He asks Yiwei about it and learns something huge. Han Gang actually saw Yiwei at the crash scene. Yiwei even threw up right there. Qin Yu realizes someone suspects his son and is hunting for a DNA sample.
Then we have the big confession. Qi Changrong tortures Cao Weier, threatening his family to make him talk. He needs to know who really delivered the munitions. Qi sets up a meeting with Han Lie. He points to a beaten and broken Cao Weier. He tells Han Lie that this man knows who hit his brother.
To protect his family, Cao Weier gives up the name. He tells them it was Qin Yu's son, Yiwei.
Blackmail and Betrayal
The hits just keep coming for Qin Yu. He's competing with Lu Weide to become the new court president. After Qin Yu gives a great speech about justice, Lu Weide calls him. He pretends to congratulate him. Then he brings up suspicious details from Qin Yu's official statement about his wife's death. He is blackmailing Qin Yu to force him out of the race.
At the same time, Tang Xuan finally connects the dots. She knows Ma Shanbao is innocent. She realizes someone close to the investigation has been misleading everyone. She goes to see Luo Wen and confronts her. Luo Wen's guilty expression says it all. Tang Xuan knows that Luo Wen knew about Qin Yu's involvement all along and helped cover it up.
