Episode Summary
Xu Yan confesses her lies to her in-laws and moves out, attempting to start a new life. She and Shen Haoming try to divorce but are forced into a one-month cooling-off period. As punishment for the messy marriage, Shen Haoming's father votes against his board appointment and exiles him to a remote office. Xu Yan, unable to find work, takes a job as a livestreamer but struggles with her new role.

So, Xu Yan finally did it. She goes right to her mother-in-law, Yu Lan, and lays it all out. Every lie, every secret, the whole story about her background. She promises she won't bring shame to the family name. She even has a cover story ready. Before the divorce is final, she’ll just tell everyone she left to start her own business. You have to laugh at the timing. Just as Yu Yiming is washing up, Shen Haoming shows up at the door. Xu Yan tries to slam it in his face, divorce papers in hand. But he just pushes his way in and plops down on her sofa like he owns the place. Yu Yiming sees the tension and wisely decides to leave.

Shen Haoming arrives at his new "office," and it's a dump. The place is a mess, the files are disorganized, and there's no real plan for anything. His new team already knows he was exiled by his dad. They see him as a prince who lost his crown, so they don't even bother being nice to him. In his downtime, he scrolls through Xu Yan's social media, only to find she’s wiped it clean.
A Sister's Visit
Xu Yan's sister, Qiao Lin, happens to see one of her livestreams and comes to visit. Xu Yan is dealing with a stomach ache while Qiao Lin complains about how unreliable Shen Haoming is. But Xu Yan isn't really bitter. She says when you make mistakes, you have to pay the price. She feels free now, earning her own money without constantly looking over her shoulder. Qiao Lin is just happy to see her sister is finally finding her own way.
