Episode Summary
Qiao Lin has an awkward reunion with her old crush, Dr. Yu Yiming, who is actually interested in her sister, Xu Yan. Xu Yan moves Qiao Lin into a new apartment right next door to him. Meanwhile, Qiao Lin's ex-fiancé, Lin Tao, causes a public scene, threatening Xu Yan's reputation. To help her husband, Shen Haoming, with a work problem, Xu Yan decides to win over a difficult business associate by cooking meatballs for his ailing mother-in-law.

Qiao Lin's Awkward Doctor Visit
So, we start with Qiao Lin. She's working her job at a makeup counter. She spots her old high school crush, Yu Yiming, and gets completely distracted.Of course, a super picky customer shows up right then to ruin her chance to follow him. This customer turns out to be her roommate, Guan Guan. Qiao Lin ends up just giving her a bunch of samples to get her to leave.
Later, Qiao Lin gets hit by some falling boxes in the warehouse. Her roommate takes her to a clinic for it. And guess who the doctor is? It's Yu Yiming.Qiao Lin is embarrassed, but she can't stop staring at him.
Here's the real drama. Qiao Lin has always been into Yu Yiming. But he has always been into her sister, Xu Yan.He uses Qiao Lin's injury as an excuse to meet her family, pretending he's just being a concerned doctor. Qiao Lin completely misreads the situation. She thinks he's finally showing interest in her.

Xu Yan shows up and sees the rundown place her sister lives in. She immediately hires people to move Qiao Lin to a new apartment. Qiao Lin fights her on it at first. But then she finds out her new neighbor will be Yu Yiming. Suddenly, she's packing her own bags.

Lin Tao Makes a Scene
Meanwhile, Lin Tao is back. His parents stir the pot by telling him Qiao Lin's family opened a new barbershop. He goes looking for Xu Yan, trying to act like he's part of the family. He calls himself her brother-in-law, but security kicks him out.
He doesn't give up. He finds Xu Yan while she's talking with Yu Yiming and starts a huge fight.To make things worse, Xu Yan's rival, Sun Siwei, is right there to see it all happen. Xu Yan tries to throw money at Lin Tao to get him to disappear. But he's not having it. He just wants the dowry money back.
Sisters at Odds
Later, Xu Yan confronts Qiao Lin. She tells her to handle the Lin Tao situation before it blows up and ruins her life with her husband, Shen Haoming. Qiao Lin is hurt by how cold her sister is being. After Xu Yan leaves, though, Qiao Lin finds some things she left behind. She realizes Xu Yan is just putting up a tough front and actually does care.
Shen Haoming tries to help from his end. He tells an employee, Zhou Hang, to deny any leave requests from Lin Tao. The goal is to keep him stuck at work so he can't cause more trouble.

Trouble for the "Crown Prince"
Things aren't going great for Shen Haoming at his company. People are making his job difficult and calling him the "crown prince" behind his back. He tries to hide his work stress from Xu Yan.She cooks for him, and they share a nice moment, but she can tell something is wrong. She wants to help him and encourages him to talk about it.
The Meatball Plan
Xu Yan decides to take matters into her own hands. She does some digging to figure out how to help her husband. She learns about a difficult business associate, Mr. Huang.His mother-in-law is in a nursing home with terminal cancer.This woman is the last living relative of Mr. Huang's beloved late wife, so he cares for her deeply.
Xu Yan finds out the old woman loves meatballs.She immediately calls her grandmother to get the family recipe. She spends a lot of time practicing, hoping to get them just right.
While she's on the phone with her grandma, Xu Yan complains and wishes she was there with her. It's a sweet moment. You can tell that when she's talking to her grandma, she's more relaxed and can finally be herself.
