The team says a difficult goodbye to their families and deploys to the harsh environment of Eriniya. A simple act of kindness has disastrous consequences when Yan Su helps a sick patient and contracts a deadly virus, putting himself and the mission in jeopardy.

A Rich Kid Revealed
The episode kicks off with some serious family drama. Zheng Yunxiao’s parents show up to see Ling Zhengrong. At the same time, Zheng Yunxiao is back with his teammates, finally coming clean. The guys all thought he came from a poor family. Nope. It turns out he's a rich kid.
He didn't tell them the truth for a good reason. He knew his parents, especially his mom, would pull some crazy stunt. And he was right. His mom suggests they just hire mercenaries to protect the team on their mission. His dad isn't much better. He brought a bunch of expensive watches as gifts. Ling Zhengrong was so freaked out he threw open his office door.
Ling Zhengrong tells them the army has rules. They can't accept gifts. He also explains that this small team was hand-picked for the mission by high command. They are soldiers. Their only job is to follow orders. He gets that they're worried parents, though. So he suggests a compromise. If they really want to do something for their kids, they can all make dumplings together.
One Last Meal
So, all the families gather in the kitchen squad's area. They make dumplings and sit down for one big farewell dinner. The family members take turns giving little speeches. Lei Peng's dad praises him in front of everyone. It’s the first time that’s ever happened. After dinner, Lei Peng actually breaks down and cries from the emotion. You can tell the families don't want them to go. But they're also proud. It's a huge honor to be chosen for a mission this important.
Welcome to Eriniya
Roughing It
The Cheetah team finally deploys to a place called Eriniya. They meet up with their local contact, a guy named Old Song. They don't have enough people to do much at first. Their main job is to guard Old Song at the base. They also help the local government forces protect a medical team.
The conditions in Eriniya are awful. The weather is brutally hot. The living situation is rough. They don't even have enough water for basic things like washing up. The food is also a problem. A local named Ali, who speaks a little Chinese, is their cook. His food is not good. The team is often still hungry after meals. Ling Zhengrong doesn't let them slack off, though. He keeps them running drills to make sure they stay sharp.
Chen Hansheng decides he's had enough of the bad food. He promises to cook a real meal for everyone after they get back from a task at the medical team's camp. Old Song is surprised. He had no idea Chen Hansheng could cook. Looks like all that time in the kitchen squad is finally paying off.
A Deadly Mistake
Chen Hansheng and Yan Su head over to the medical team. While there, Yan Su sees a patient who looks unsteady. He instinctively reaches out to help him. The head of the medical team, Captain Wei, sees this. He warns Yan Su to keep his distance from patients if he isn't wearing protective gear. Captain Wei then helps disinfect the area where Yan Su made contact.
Back at their base, Chen Hansheng gets to work in the kitchen with Ali helping him. Dinner is a huge success. Everyone is happy and eating well for the first time in a while. Everyone except Yan Su. He suddenly feels very sick. He starts vomiting and has diarrhea.
That night, he locks himself away from the others. He knows what this is. He diagnoses himself with the Alpha Virus. Ling Zhengrong immediately sends Zheng Yunxiao to get a doctor from the medical team. He, Lei Peng, and Chen Hansheng stay with Yan Su. Yan Su feels completely defeated. The army gave him this critical mission, and he got taken out by a simple mistake.
