Episode Summary
The four demoted friends reunite and form a special training squad. Qiu Tian organizes an unscripted war game between the Support Branch and the Cheetah unit. Her team tricks the Cheetahs with drugged drinks. Chen Hansheng then uses himself as bait to lure Ling Zhengrong into a grenade trap, winning the exercise for the Support Branch.

The Gang's Back Together
The episode kicks off with a joint training exercise. Ling Zhengrong picks the 300-meter obstacle course. It's not a fun time for anyone. But the good news is our four guys are finally reunited. Chen Hansheng, Lei Peng, Zheng Yunxiao, and Yan Su are all there. They haven't known each other long. But they've already formed a solid bond. None of them are happy about being kicked out of the Cheetah unit. So they all decided to stay in the Support Branch. They're hoping for a shot to get back in.
A New Training Squad
The four of them do really well in the training. Qiu Tian is impressed. Even Ling Zhengrong has to admit they've got skills. After the exercise, Chen Hansheng goes to see Qiu Tian. He asks if he and his three buddies can form their own special training squad. Qiu Tian loves the idea. She goes straight to the captain to get it approved. She then puts the new squad under Sergeant Zhang Lan.
Zheng Yunxiao and Yan Su move over to the repair squad. The four friends are officially together again. Sergeant Zhang Lan tells them to pick a leader for their little group. Lei Peng suggests they vote. It's unanimous. Everyone thinks Zheng Yunxiao is the right guy for the job.
The War Games Begin
Qiu Tian isn't done shaking things up. She goes to the Chief of Staff with a proposal. She wants to run a full-on combat exercise. The Cheetah unit versus the Support Branch. She argues it's the best way to find out what both teams are doing wrong. Then they can do targeted training.
Qiu Tian's Unscripted Plan
Qiu Tian did her homework. She knows that in every past exercise, the Support Branch gets crushed by the Cheetahs. That doesn't help anyone. It doesn't make the Support Branch a real challenge for the elite unit. So she suggests something new. An unscripted war game. She'll lead the Blue Team (Support Branch). Ling Zhengrong will lead the Red Team (Cheetahs). It's going to be a real fight. She also adds new challenges. Modern criminals use more than just guns. They use the internet and other high-tech tricks. The Chief of Staff agrees to her whole plan.
The Trap is Sprung
The exercise starts. Part of the Support Branch, led by Qiu Tian, plays the role of the enemy. The other part is tasked with supporting the Cheetahs. Qiu Tian is playing to win. She is not holding back.
Her team gives the Cheetahs some drinks. The drinks are drugged. The drug starts to kick in. The Cheetah members get dizzy. Ling Zhengrong finally realizes they've been tricked. But he refuses to just give up. He's determined to save the Cheetahs' reputation. It doesn't work. His team members get captured one by one. The Blue Team takes some losses too. But the Red Team is getting decimated. Qiu Tian is ruthless. She finds a Cheetah member and "eliminates" them on the spot.
Chen Hansheng decides to end it. He uses himself as bait. He wants to draw Ling Zhengrong out. He sets up a trap using grenades. The plan works perfectly. Ling Zhengrong sees Chen Hansheng and gets cocky. He walks right into the grenade trap. The explosion "takes him out." He lands right in front of Qiu Tian's team. Ling Zhengrong finally understands he fell for Chen Hansheng's trick. He sees Chen Hansheng give him a smug little smile. He can't take it anymore. He just closes his eyes and passes out.
