Chang Long as Shen Shao Jie
Shen Shaoguang’s brother, a former office worker in modern times who becomes an "ancient business genius" after time travel. He pioneers live-streaming sales with foreign merchants and introduces modern food delivery systems to Yong'an City, industrializing the errand-running industry. Skilled in using modern marketing strategies (such as membership points and group buying), he is a key force in expanding Shen's Eatery.
Dong Si Yi as A Yuan
A helper at Shen's Eatery and the "strength expert" of the team. Originally a maid at a rice shop, she is bought by Shen Shaoguang and becomes the eatery’s bodyguard and food carver. Honest, straightforward and loyal, she contributes greatly to solving cases and develops a sweet, food-themed relationship with Liu Chang, a yamen guard.
Sui Jun Bo as Li Feng Xia
Shen Shaoguang’s fiery-tempered mother, a modern housewife who shows remarkable leadership after time travel. She excels at developing hot pot broths, once won over royal family members with self-heating hot pots, and helped arrange her daughter’s marriage to Lin Yan—earning herself the title of "First-Class Imperial Madam" in the process. She initially opposed her daughter’s relationship but later became a dedicated "shipper" who actively supported them.
Han Mo as Shen Yang Yang
Shen Shaoguang’s clever younger sister, a genius in food research and development. She helps her sister improve modern snacks like bingfen (jellied dessert) and malatang (spicy hot pot), creating "Tang Dynasty-exclusive" treats. Later, she takes charge of expanding Shen's Eatery to the East and West Markets of Yong'an, becoming an important pillar of the family business with her flexible management strategies.
Ni Hong Jie as Princess Fuhui
An elder in Lin Yan’s family, she initially opposes Shen Shaoguang and Lin Yan’s relationship due to class differences. However, she is completely won over by Li Fengxia’s hot pot feast and turns into their "strongest supporter," using her royal status to help the couple get married. Her transformation not only showcases the magic of food but also implies acceptance of modern family values.
Liu Jun as Pei Fei
A senior official in the Ministry of Revenue, Lin Yan’s political rival, and the mastermind behind the corruption case. Eventually, he is exposed by Shen Shaoguang and Lin Yan, serving as the core villain of the drama.
Feng Jia Yi as Shen Jian She
Shen Shaoguang’s father, a former head chef of a modern catering family. After time travel, he becomes the kitchen manager of Shen's Eatery. He uses his "pancake economics" to enlighten Lin Yan on official ethics, helping him solve the Ministry of Revenue’s corruption case. Beneath his sharp tongue lies deep love for his family, making him the spiritual backbone of the family.
Hu Wei as Liu Chang
A guard at the capital’s yamen and Lin Yan’s loyal subordinate. Like his superior, he is a "food lover." He meets the Shen family while investigating cases, and gradually shifts from opposing them to becoming their friend. Straightforward and simple-minded, his interactions with A Yuan provide many of the drama’s funny moments.
