Episode Summary
Liu Yan orders Yu Qifeng to massacre Sword King City. Chi Yun discovers his fiancée, Bai Suche, is part of Fengliu Hall after she helps them kidnap A'Shui. Tang Lici goes to rescue A'Shui, who is being tortured by Red Fox. He saves her but falls into an illusionary trap. Meanwhile, Yu Qifeng goes on a rampage, and Liu Yan attacks the city with fireballs, forcing an evacuation.

An Order to Kill
Liu Yan is officially done with Yu Qifeng. He thinks Yu Qifeng has made too many stupid mistakes. So he pays him a little late-night visit. Liu Yan gives him a simple ultimatum. If Yu Qifeng wants to save his own skin, he has to do one thing. He must kill every single person in Sword King City.
Yu Qifeng is a monster, but he has a surprisingly loyal apprentice. This apprentice gets the order directly from Liu Yan. He immediately finds A'Shui. He destroys the account book she was protecting. Then he burns down the entire warehouse full of records. Chi Yun sees the attack and jumps in. He tries his best to protect A'Shui and what's left of the evidence.
A Familiar Betrayal
It's no use, though. People from Fengliu Hall grab A'Shui and run. Chi Yun gives chase. A figure in white suddenly blocks his path. This person's fighting skills are incredible. But the moves feel very familiar to Chi Yun. He gets a good look. He can't believe it. It's his own fiancée, Bai Suche.
She tells him she's working for her master. Chi Yun finally understands. Bai Suche has joined Fengliu Hall. Even though she just betrayed him, he can't bring himself to land a killing blow. He has to stand there and watch as they drag A'Shui away.
The Rescue Mission
Chi Yun reports everything to Tang Lici. Tang Lici figures A'Shui was taken straight to Fengliu Hall. He knows this is really about his own history with Liu Yan. He tells Chi Yun and Shen Langhun to stay behind. They need to guard Sword King City and keep an eye on Yu Qifeng. Then, Tang Lici heads to Fengliu Hall alone.
A Test of Feelings
At Fengliu Hall, A'Shui is tied up and hanging from a tree. Red Fox stands nearby, taunting her. She says A'Shui's beloved will be there to save her soon. A'Shui just gives a sad smile. She says Tang Lici isn't coming for her. And if he does show up, it's only because of his feud with Liu Yan.
Red Fox wants to test this. She wants to see if Tang Lici actually has feelings for A'Shui. She starts tightening the ropes. The ropes cut deep into A'Shui's skin. Blood soaks through her clothes and runs down her legs. The pain is too much. She passes out. Just as she's about to die, Tang Lici arrives. He slices the ropes in an instant and catches her in his arms.
Tang Lici's Past
Red Fox set a trap. Tang Lici falls into a powerful illusion. He gets lost in his own worst memories. In the vision, he sees his past again. He sees Fang Zhou, the man who cared for him. He remembers learning the truth about his own birth. He had decided to leave everyone behind. He didn't want to cause any more trouble. But Fang Zhou always gently called him back from his isolation.
Fang Zhou taught Tang Lici the meaning of sacrifice and belief. When demons threatened to harm innocent people, Fang Zhou gave his own life to protect them. He showed Tang Lici what true selflessness looked like.
Chaos in Sword King City
Back in the city, Chi Yun and Shen Langhun find Yu Qifeng. He's gone completely mad. He's absorbing the life force from the disciples of Sword King City. He has no humanity left. The two of them try to stop him. But Yu Qifeng is in a killing frenzy, and his attacks are deadly.
Tang Lici finally breaks free from the illusion and defeats Red Fox. He rushes back to help his friends. He sees Yu Qifeng, glowing with stolen power. Tang Lici can't believe how many people he must have killed. He says that Pu Zhu's faith in Yu Qifeng was completely wasted.
A City Under Fire
Liu Yan watches all of this from a safe distance. He decides to make things even harder for Tang Lici. He shatters the Sky Flame Sword Wall. The sky fills with fire. Countless fireballs start raining down on the city.
Following Tang Lici's earlier orders, Chi Yun and Shen Langhun start evacuating the citizens. The disciples of Sword King City were planning to run for the hills. But then they see Tang Lici's allies risking their lives to save the common people. This changes their minds. They join the effort and help everyone retreat to safety.
