Episode Summary
Tang Lici, Chi Yun, and Shen Langhun continue their journey north, using a food tour as a cover to investigate the Evil Pill trade. They encounter Liu Yan's powerful and mysterious Master, who warns Liu Yan not to let his personal vendetta interfere with business. Tang Lici successfully sends intel to Pu Zhu, crippling the pill network. Chi Yun is devastated to see his fiancée being abused among their pursuers. The episode ends with Tang Lici revealing their next destination is the mysterious Biluo Palace, a place he has escaped from before.

A Food Tour with a Side of Danger
The episode starts on a surprisingly chill note. Tang Lici, Chi Yun, and Shen Langhun are heading north. Tang Lici, being the meticulous guy he is, has made a whole food map for their trip. They stop to eat, and it's a great moment. Chi Yun has never had food this good. His face is practically glowing. It’s a nice break from all the running and fighting.
But you know it can't last.
The Man with Too Much Food
Shen Langhun points out something strange. There's a guy at a nearby table. He's alone but has ordered enough food for a huge party. He isn't touching any of it. The man looks powerful and wealthy. He just sits there. Tang Lici immediately gets a bad feeling. He suspects this guy might be connected to Liu Yan.
Before they can think too much about it, trouble finds them. Their wanted posters are plastered all over town. A group of thugs storms the restaurant to collect the bounty. Chi Yun jumps down and handles them easily. The fight is over fast. But the mysterious man at the other table is the real threat.
Liu Yan's Painful Path
We cut to Liu Yan. He's not having a good time. He is practicing some kind of forbidden martial arts. The technique involves reversing his energy flow. It looks incredibly painful. He's putting himself through this agony for one reason. He wants to become strong enough to finally defeat Tang Lici.
A Warning for Red Fox
Red Fox is still completely hung up on Liu Yan. She shows up while he's training. We find out she recently took matters into her own hands. She went after Tang Lici by herself, trying to eliminate her crush's problem for him. It went badly. She was no match for Tang Lici and got seriously injured.
Liu Yan hears her approach. He quickly throws on some clothes to hide the marks from his own brutal training. He's not happy to see her. He punishes her for snooping, burning her chest with a burst of flame from his palm. He warns her not to overstep her bounds again.
Just then, another subordinate named Xifang Tao arrives. She extinguishes the flame on Red Fox's chest. She gives Red Fox some solid advice. She tells her that being too obedient isn't always a good thing.
The Master Arrives
Xifang Tao is there to announce that their Master has arrived. Liu Yan goes to meet him. And guess who it is. It's the same imposing guy from the restaurant.
The Master is not pleased. He originally took Liu Yan under his protection because Liu Yan could produce the "Evil Pills." This was a business arrangement. But Liu Yan's personal vendetta against Tang Lici is now hurting the Master's operations. It has disrupted the foundation of Sword King City and almost cut off a major shipping route. The Master gives Liu Yan a stern warning. He says Liu Yan can have his revenge, but not if it costs him money.
Tang Lici's Real Mission
The Master tells Liu Yan that Tang Lici's group is now in the Sanqin region. So, Liu Yan immediately dispatches all his forces there. This leads to a heartbreaking moment for Chi Yun. He sees his own fiancée among the pursuers. Then, he watches in horror as her superior beats her for making a mistake on the job. Chi Yun is crushed. He vows to get revenge for what was done to her.
Pigeons and Payback
It turns out Tang Lici's food tour was just a cover. He's actually been using the trip to investigate the Evil Pill supply chain. He has Shen Langhun do the reconnaissance work. Then, Tang Lici sends the information to Pu Zhu using carrier pigeons.
Pu Zhu uses this intel to launch a series of successful raids. He dismantles several key hubs in the Evil Pill network. Chi Yun sees Tang Lici sending off a pigeon and finally understands the full scope of the plan. He's amazed by Tang Lici's foresight.
A Trip to the Biluo Palace
With that part of the mission complete, Tang Lici announces their next destination. They are going to the Biluo Palace. Chi Yun is immediately nervous. He says he's heard that the place is even more mysterious than the Thirteenth Floor. The rumors say that no one who enters ever comes out.
Tang Lici just smiles. He tells them the rumors are not entirely true. He should know. He's been to the Biluo Palace before, and he got out alive.
