Episode Summary
Xiao Erbao, incited by a former director, attacks the factory and injures Yu Leshan. Sheng Xuezhu helps save Erbao's baby, leading Erbao to reconcile with Leshan. As the factory recovers, Wang Xiao confronts Leshan over Xuezhu. Leshan secures a major new client, while personal relationships deepen. Yu Leying gets stuck in a storm with a sick Xie Jingsi, and Qiao Zhengjun's hopes for a promotion are crushed.

The Factory Standoff Gets Bloody
A Brick to the Head
So, the episode kicks off with some serious drama at the factory. Remember Xiao Erbao? The guy whose land was used to expand the factory years ago. Well, the old factory director, Xiao Shude, is whispering in his ear. He convinces Erbao to go stir up trouble.
Erbao doesn't need much convincing. He rounds up a crew and heads straight for the factory. They immediately start tearing down a wall. Yu Leshan and Chen Zhiqiang show up to stop the chaos. They try to reason with him. It does not work.
Erbao just starts screaming insults. This pushes Chen Zhiqiang's buttons, and he gets rough with Erbao. That was a mistake. Erbao gets furious, grabs a loose brick, and hurls it right at Zhiqiang's head. But Leshan acts fast. He shoves Zhiqiang out of the way and takes the hit himself. He goes down, bleeding from his head. It was a nasty scene.
Sheng Xuezhu Steps In
While all this is happening, Sheng Xuezhu is working at a local health clinic. Xiao Erbao's wife is there. She's about to give birth. Xuezhu does a quick check and realizes something is very wrong. She can't find the baby's heartbeat.
Just then, Erbao walks in. He casually mentions that he just cracked Leshan's head open. The second Xuezhu hears Leshan's name, she's out the door. She rushes to his side and is clearly worried sick about him.
Later that night, Wang Xiao makes a call. He finds out Xuezhu is still with Leshan and hasn't come home. You can tell he is completely furious.
A Crisis and a Confrontation
A Baby's Life on the Line
Leshan has to stay on duty at the factory. Xuezhu wants to stay with him. She's worried Erbao might come back. Zhiqiang eventually convinces them to go get some rest.
But Xuezhu can't sleep. She's thinking about Erbao's wife. She goes back to the clinic in the middle of the night. The baby still has no heartbeat. Xuezhu knows this is a true emergency. She tells Erbao he needs to get his wife to the city hospital for a C-section, right now.
The problem is, Erbao has no car. Xuezhu tells him to go borrow the factory's big truck. Yes, the same factory he just attacked. Leshan and Zhiqiang end up being the ones to drive them. They make it to the hospital just in time. The doctors perform the surgery, and Erbao's wife gives birth to a healthy baby boy.
Erbao is incredibly grateful to Xuezhu. He thanks her over and over. She just tells him to go thank Yu Leshan.
Wang Xiao's Warning
Leshan and Zhiqiang get back to the factory the next morning after being at the hospital all night. Wang Xiao is there waiting for them. He gets right in Leshan's face. He warns him to stay away from Sheng Xuezhu.
Wang Xiao tells Leshan he isn't good enough for her. He brings up how Xuezhu is studying for her graduate school exams. He says they are from two different worlds. Leshan doesn't really engage. He just brushes him off and gets back to work.
New Beginnings and Old Grudges
The Factory Turns a Corner
Xiao Erbao clearly feels terrible about everything. He shows up at the factory with his men. This time, they're there to rebuild the wall they destroyed. Leshan is genuinely touched by the gesture. He promises Erbao and his crew jobs at the factory as soon as business picks up.
And things are finally starting to look up. Under Leshan and Zhiqiang, production has massively improved. They're making more products with fewer defects. They successfully complete two big orders. The factory is officially saved. But Leshan isn't satisfied. He decides to go to the provincial capital to look for even bigger clients.
Office Politics and Lingering Resentment
We get a little side story with Qiao Zhengjun. Shao Jie secretly shows him some meeting notes. He learns that the city is about to promote a group of young officials. He wants to be one of them, and Shao Jie encourages him.
Chen Zhiqiang gives Leshan a ride to the capital. He can see that Leshan has feelings for Xuezhu. He encourages his friend to just make a move. Leshan says he doesn't think he's worthy of her. Zhiqiang, who is a pretty observant guy, thinks Xuezhu likes Leshan back. He even transfers another woman, Xiao Yueling, to the warehouse just to make sure Xuezhu doesn't get the wrong idea or feel jealous.
Back at the factory, Xie Jingsi is sick with a cold but is still trying to work. Yu Leying sees him and tells him to go rest. Then Hou Ming appears. He's the guy who got demoted for trying to bribe Jingsi. He's still bitter about it. He makes a few sarcastic comments and a vague threat before leaving. This guy is definitely going to be a problem later.
Sparks Fly in the Rain
A Birthday Plan and a Sick Day
Leshan's business trip is a huge success. He's there to meet one manager, but another executive, President Wang, sees the product catalog. He's so impressed that he places a large order on the spot. Leshan has to hurry back to get the shipment ready.
Meanwhile, Xuezhu is working overtime. Wang Xiao calls and insists on picking up her daughter, Nuan Nuan. While with Nuan Nuan, he finds out her birthday is next week. He wants to throw her a party, but he's worried Xuezhu will say no. So, he asks the little girl to help convince her mom. It feels a little sneaky.
Xie Jingsi's cold has gotten much worse. Yu Leying takes him to his dorm room and makes sure he takes his medicine. As she's about to leave, a massive rainstorm starts. She's trapped. Jingsi gives her a book to read, and the two of them are stuck there for the night.
A Stormy Night
Yu Leying is very late getting home. Her mom and Leshan are waiting up for her. Her mom uses the downtime to nag Leshan about finding a wife. The rain keeps getting heavier, and Leshan starts to worry. He grabs a raincoat and heads out into the storm to find his sister.
The episode ends on a political note. Liu Dasheng is furious with Shao Jie. He found out she showed the promotion list to Qiao Zhengjun. He explains that the city has already chosen the candidates. He actually wanted Zhengjun to get two more years of experience before being considered. Now, he tells Shao Jie that she has to be the one to go break the bad news to him. That's going to be an awkward conversation.
