Episode Summary
Sheng Xuezhu is suspended from the hospital after saving a patient against her family's wishes. At the same time, her husband Wang Xiao's affair with Tao Xiyun is exposed when their daughter Nuan Nuan sees them together. Tao Xiyun is pregnant, forcing a confrontation. Sheng Xuezhu reveals she never loved Wang Xiao, asks for a divorce, and leaves. Yu Leshan learns about the divorce and confronts a guilt-ridden Wang Xiao but decides not to fight him.

You know, I thought things were complicated before. This episode just blew everything wide open. So many secrets are out. So many people are making terrible decisions. Let's just get into it.
The Hospital Drama
I have to start with Sheng Xuezhu. Her week is just awful. A patient named Zhao Lihua is giving birth. Things go wrong. She starts bleeding heavily. We learn she has a clotting disorder. Sheng Xuezhu knows she needs to remove the woman's uterus to save her life. It's the only option.
But the family won't sign the consent form. They refuse. Sheng Xuezhu can't just let the patient die on the table. She makes the tough call. She performs the hysterectomy and saves Zhao Lihua's life.
Her reward for this? Zhao Lihua's husband and in-laws storm the hospital. They scream at Sheng Xuezhu. They cause a huge scene. The hospital administration caves under the pressure. They suspend Sheng Xuezhu. She has to pack up her office. It's a gut punch.
The Affair Implodes
Now for the main event. Tao Xiyun is pregnant with Wang Xiao's baby. She decides the best course of action is to go see his wife, Sheng Xuezhu, for a prenatal check-up. Yes, you read that right. She goes to her lover's wife, who is a doctor, to confirm the pregnancy.
During the appointment, she admits she isn't married. She even has the nerve to mock Sheng Xuezhu, calling her old. Sheng Xuezhu is just confused by the whole thing.
Later, Tao Xiyun goes to Wang Xiao's house. She shows him the pregnancy results. He is completely stunned. He clearly just wanted a casual affair. He never thought about consequences. Tao Xiyun doesn't care. She tells him to divorce Sheng Xuezhu. She uses the baby as a threat. He gives in and hugs her.
And who walks in at that exact moment? Nuan Nuan. She comes home from school. She sees her stepdad hugging another woman. The poor kid is terrified and runs out of the house.
The Breakup
Nuan Nuan runs straight to the hospital. She finds her mom and tells her everything. Sheng Xuezhu is devastated. She arranges for her sister, Sheng Bailing, to pick Nuan Nuan up.
Sheng Xuezhu goes home. She cleans the entire house. She packs bags for herself and Nuan Nuan. When Wang Xiao finally gets the courage to come home, she's ready. She tells him she wants a divorce.
He completely falls apart. He gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness. He confesses everything about Tao Xiyun and the baby. Sheng Xuezhu is angry. She tells him to stand up and act like a man. She thanks him for taking care of Nuan Nuan. Then she congratulates him on finally having his own biological child. It's brutal.
He keeps apologizing. But then she drops the real bomb. She tells him she never loved him. She only married him out of gratitude for his support while she finished her doctorate. She thought they could make it work without love. She tells him he found his true love, so they are both free now. Then she walks out without looking back.
The Fallout
Sheng Xuezhu moves in with her parents. Her brother, Sheng Bijie, is furious. He literally wants to find a gun and shoot Wang Xiao.
Sheng Bailing tells Yu Leshan what happened. Yu Leshan goes to confront Wang Xiao. He finds him lying on the floor, a total wreck. Wang Xiao admits he lost. He tells Yu Leshan that Sheng Xuezhu confessed she never loved him. Yu Leshan decides not to beat him up. Instead, he tells Wang Xiao to live with the guilt forever. He also tells him to treat Tao Xiyun right.
That night, Yu Leshan waits outside Sheng Xuezhu's new place. He just watches her window until the light goes out.
Business and Betrayal
Let's not forget about the other money mess. Qiao Zhengjun is in deep trouble. He used company money to help Liu Tianyao. She didn't pay it back. So, he used the final payment he owed to Yu Leshan to pay his own workers.
Yu Leshan confronts him. Qiao Zhengjun promises to pay in three days but can't get the cash. He starts hiding from Yu Leshan. He even tries to dig up dirt on Yu Leshan's company but finds nothing. This guy is just full of bad ideas.
Yu Leshan ends up using his own savings to pay his workers. He's a good guy stuck in a bad spot. He also asks his friend Guo Hongqi to look into the hospital situation with Zhao Lihua's family. He wants to help Sheng Xuezhu.
The episode ends with a few sad shots. Sheng Xuezhu is depressed in bed. Wang Xiao is with Tao Xiyun meeting her parents, but he's hiding in a corner and crying.
